STYLIZED TERRAIN & GRASS - Tutorial: Part 1 - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 3.5K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
People asked me to make a tutorial about how I made the grass and terrain in my game. While I don't have much experience with tutorials, as I barely watch any, I tried to give you some insight about the process of creating the terrain and grass in Godot 4. The tutorial will be in multiple parts. This is part 1, where I demonstrate how to create maps for your terrain, such as Splatmap, Heightmap...

Devlog: Aethernia - Pokémon-style RPG - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
This is basically a snapshot of the progress of my Pokémon style RPG. I didn't really know what to show so this is just a collection of features that got updated. Mainly I worked on the map and its required system, aswell as fleshing out the world. I got a lot more to show, like lore stuff, monster designs, behind the scenes stuff, etc, but I don't think that's worth to make a video about that....
Devlog - Playtesting my Snowball Kids Game - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
Testing a game project I made in my free time in the last 3 weeks. I was inspired by the french movie "La guerre des tuques" and adapted that to a Battlefield like conquest mode. The capsules in front of the sleds are meant to be dogs (or other animals?), but I didn't do the model for it yet and I am not sure about it yet. * I use Godot Engine SUPPORT ME AND THE PROJECT ON PATREON :) patreon.co...
Devlog - RPG Monster Game (Procedural Island / Terrain) - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 4.2Kปีที่แล้ว
(No sound in video) - Due to some comments I got interested again and re-worked on my procedural island generator. This is just a short video of some footage of some generated islands. The island generator currently only knows one habitat and follows the same rules for all islands. Devlog - RPG Monster Game (3rd Person Fight + AI Update 2) - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 718ปีที่แล้ว
I updated the AI and added a new ability to allow for my varying combos. I might need to update the punching animations, as they look a little static from behind the character. I added a side step / dash and some visual effects to the 3rd person fight system. Also the AI is a little more responsive and challenging now. I use Godot Engine 4.0 Beta 13 SUPPORT ME AND THE PROJECT ON PATREON :) patreon.com/twntysvn JOIN THE DISCORD :) discord.gg/rk69NynwXV
Devlog - RPG Monster Game (3rd Person Fight + AI Test) - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 996ปีที่แล้ว
Just a small test video about a possible 3rd person battle fighting system. Basic movements and attack combos and hits. Also the animations probably need to be adjusted more. Based on the previous combat mechanics. Still unsure what battle / fighting system to work with, so I keep trying out I guess. :) I use Godot Engine 4.0 Beta 13. Devlog - RPG Monster Game (New Start) - Godot Engine
มุมมอง 802ปีที่แล้ว
INFO: Due to real life things happening (I got a nice job, yey *.*) I wanted to get a break and re-evaluate my game idea. Ultimately I fused some components and ideas of previous concepts I had in the past (one was a strategy card game with a hexagonal tiles called Aethernia; the name I probably keep going forward with the project) and want to create a more immersive monster collecting experien...

Man This is So awesome. Keep it up I really liked UI and World design :P
This is so amazing! You can be the creatures and the trainer!? I can't wait to play this!
And the second part?
do you have a plan to release part 2 of terrain and grass system ?
Dude can you make a tutorial bout your building system
Beautiful! but in my humble opinion, it's more intimidating and exciting to see the enemies roaming around, like you saw a big charizard flying and you ran chasing after him, or you saw a big onix, just pop up out of nowhere from the ground
Bro, you inspired me!
You are a great dev/designer, project with high professional quality with tons of small details and time invested. Beautiful result, great taste, keep up the awesome work.
You're cookin, dawg
Ive been looking for a 3d 3rd person rpg made in godot for inspiration cause i plan on using godot too 😶 Most people just make 2D games and i just wanted to see that its possible 😀
That's Fantastic 😅🔥
Hi bro, first of all, as other people said - very cool and creative UI, with very satisfying feeling during those transitions. I also wanted to ask about the design specific - are they normal godot UI components but stylized to your needs, or your own scenes with custom functionalities? Or some other different approach? (Like for example the Button "Companions") Have a nice day, and good luck with working on your game! If you pay such attention to details, I'm sure it will be great when you finish it :)
How did you make that camera wobble effect? Via script or just animating the camera while walking?
THE AVATAR HAS RETURNED
Very smooth work, vibrant with perfect contrast. Great design choices all around!
This looks absolutely gorgeous! I also love how you can't see the face of the protagonist and have some room for imagination. Congrats on the amazing progress :)
Beautiful work 💯
Looking good
Awesome video! The UI is looking super slick and nifty. Really like the transitions between pause and unpause mode. Also your game looks super polished and I really like how you can control different characters. Looking forward to your next devlog. Keep it up! :)
Thank you so much :)
This is CLEAN
this is one of the coolest most sleek and well designed menus i've ever seen, good job :D
:o thanks
Looks amazing! The only thing missing for me is a custom cursor. Feels like it would polish it really well. Good job!

The walk animations are amazing, keep up with the great work!
Thank you :)
@@twntysvn9882 This is an amazing project, I wish to ask, do you plan to make a tutorial series for this ?
@@ParthShrivastava-wv5jy I wish to do some, but its very time consuming for me and I rather want to do more work on the project rather than tutorials. :D But I will see what I can do. Part 2 of my terrain tutorial is still coming out sometime. Thanks so much <3
Nice! UI is so clean 👌
Awesome work. That looks great!
Looking great! Let me know if you need an alpha tester.

I just started using godot recently and just looking at what you made here says a lot about its potential! Can you make a tutorial on how you made the mini map?
Does anyone have a link to a video tutorial like this?
