There are many reasons, one of them being that this game came out for Windows Vista, and many pirated Vista games have compatibility issues with newer OS. The other reason is that I wanted it on my Steam account for collection purposes and I like to keep all my games on Steam as much as possible. Now, did I pay full price, no, I waited for a good sale, almost 1 year.
