    Hello Emma! Let me just say how grateful I am for this video you posted. I’ve commented before on your posts. I am too registered legally blind, and you inspired me to start again on my Pilates lessons.. I too have a guide dog Lizzie! I have a condition called Knollblook syndrome that affects among other things vision and mostly it presents itself with retina dystrophy, as in your case. So, and why am I grateful?? i’m grateful . Well , because you just described everything the way I see it and I wasn’t able to explain to people who asked me in such an objective way,,and the way that people approached you and ask you if you are really blind or if you are faking it just to get a guide dog, I can relate to that experience. So again, I feel less alone now that I saw your post.. please do keep up the great work and I am really happy to have found you on the web and to recover this great pleasure that’s Pilates thank you for everything. You really do make a difference in peoples lives ❤

      Thank you so much for letting me know. This exercise is mainly to stretch out the toes and is just a nice transition to get us from the floor to standing. We are crouching down on the balls of our feet with the heels lifted slightly. We are rounding our spine and chest over the legs where the knees are bent and our glutes are close to our heels. all it really is, is rocking the weight back and forth on the balls of the feet and then shifting the weight back slightly towards the heels to give the toes a little bit of a stretch. Does that make sense?
