funny you mentioned about getting reminded of Seungmin and Wonpil because they are actually known for looking a like, and not just that but for having a lot of similarities too (personalities and all). Seungmin is also a really big fan of day6 and his bias is Wonpil. I swear that man is such a big fan he even knows the fandom's inside jokes😭

since you've been enjoying almost everything you've watched day6 related, I think it's a perfect time to give more info about the members themselves. So Day6 is the first ever band JYP made. They were the first band in Korea to have all 3 frontman as main vocals (used to be 5 main vocals when there were still 6 of them). Day6 started from NOTHING, yes even though they're from a big 3 company, they did not get any of that big 3 privilege. They started from busking on public areas to performing on clubs and when they debuted with Congratulations. They had no schedule at all except for radio shows which they are regular guests from because that's where they can only promote and sing and play instruments live at the same time. They only went to music shows for their first comeback but even then, they didn't promote there as much because they couldn't play their instruments live (bands have to pay extra money for them to play their instruments live on music shows) on their most recent comeback, they promoted on music shows and played the instruments live (cuz they have money now lol) but even then, they still only promoted for a week, they said it's just for the fans since it was a special comeback but they really just prefer to promote on festivals and concerts, after all that's where bands can truly shine. Day6 are known for the saying "trust and listen to day6" because every song they release, people expect it to be good. They are often called as a group with no bad songs even by non-fans. Not everyone might be a fan but I assure you there are a lot of kpop fans who are casual listeners of day6. Day6 has also been gaining so much attention in Korea these days especially Young K who's pretty much everywhere in Korea since last year after he discharged from the military. I'm not exaggerating when I say he's probably the busiest idol right now. Bro got dekira (his radio show airing every 10pmkst everyday) yet he's also on variety shows and gets invited to contents from here and there. Young K worked his ass off from the day he discharged from the military to keep the day6's name up, and now that all members are officially back. They've been getting to these big shows in Korea which fans from their older days would have never imagined for day6 to guest on since they used to have nothing🥺Also important to note that Wonpil only got discharged officially from the military on November 27, he then immediately worked on songs along with the members for their latest album. And just a month after they had special 3-day Christmas concert on December 22, 23, and 24. And to think that just 4 months after they were able to release a mini album with wholeass 7 songs with all songs passing over 3mins with 2 songs even reaching 4mins. They're crazy dedicated to their work, honestly I did not expect a lot of songs and I assumed it'll just be a single song since it's only been 4 months!! even for groups who are given songs by their producers, it's not easy to release a a lot of songs within 4 months only and Day6 were able to do that even though they all wrote and composed all of the songs on the album. All of the songs on the latest album charted on melon (the biggest streaming platform in Korea) and their songs You were beautiful (released in 2017) and Time of our life (released in 2019) are currently on the top 10 and they've been hanging on there for months now, I wouldn't be surprised if they reach top 5 next month. Day6 are also currently the group with the most charted songs in top 1000 of melon with over 20 songs. It's insane that most of these songs are older songs, this just shows how timeless all of their songs are. Now you might think how the band started when JYP is known for their dance groups, why the sudden change? It's because of our leader Sungjin (the guitarist) he was apparently really bad at dancing even after years of training so normally when a trainee have not improved much, most likely what'll happen is they'll get kicked out but Sungjin had this really beautiful voice that jyp did not want to lose him so they created a band just for him. Sungjin knew nothing about instruments so he started with learning the cajon, he then later learned the guitar only after 3 months. Jyp then picked some trainees from the dance team who can play the instruments. Those are Young K and Wonpil. Young K is known to be an elite/top trainee in JYP who's often coined as the "triple threat" because of how he's good at all dancing, singing, and rapping. There is this thing they do on jyp where they count the scores the trainees got from their performance evaluations and whoever gets the three highest scores, gets the opportunity to train in New York with some of the best trainers out there, and yes Young K was in that top 3 who trained in New York. He was originally set to debut in got7 however he was very bad at acrobatics (acrobatics are a big thing for male jyp groups back then) the moment he was able to do acrobatics was also the day he was offered to join the band instead since he could play the guitar and he had a very bad knee injury which makes it hard for him to dance for a long time because it's hurting him. He then initially became the lead guitarist of the group until Jae came in who's supposedly a better guitarist so Young K had to learn the bass instead. Wonpil is a great vocalist since pre debut and he also knew how to play the keyboard. His parents run a piano academy however he did not learn from his parents as he was not interested at it when he was young but then he got interested when he was in middle school so he had to learn the keyboard by himself. He originally started as the synthesizer of the group as the group's main keyboardist from debut was Junhyeok. Dowoon originally came in as a drummer and only trained for 3 months as compared to the rest of the members who trained for over 6 years (including their idol trainee years). Day6 started of as an acoustic band called 5live so they did not have a drummer but for some reason, jyp wanted them to be a full on band so they held an audition for drummers. Dowoon who was a music major uni student back then and was told about the audition by his teacher, he then auditioned and passed so that's how day6 became a full band. I know they're former members now but I think I can still give little bits of information about them after all they had a lot of contributions on day6 too, especially Jae since you're gonna be seeing him in almost every day6 videos except for the ones from the fourever era. Jae auditioned on the popular survival show called kpop star where jyp is also a judge. He then placed 6th on the finals and that's how he got into jyp. He came in already as a band so the lead guitarist position was given to him. Junhyeok left very early during their debut due to a controversy so I don't know much about him but he was the original keyboardist of the group (a really good one too) but after he left, Wonpil had to take in charge for both the keyboard and synthesizer (props for Wonpil really, it's not an easy job). Also this is just a very little fun fact but day6 are known to be the idols of idols because in every kpop groups, there's always at least one myday who always recommends day6 stuffs lol. Even on the recent awarding show they attended, groups don''t normally stand up for groups performing on the stage, heck most of the time they don't even show their reactions. But on that night, all of the groups on the artists zone were seen standing of and singing along to day6's songs when day6 were performing on stage. It almost became a concert that night. This got way too long I'm sorry lol. But anyway this is the current day6 with 4 members and are still going very strong. I hope you can continue to support them because I'm not kidding when I say they're one of the most hard working idols I know in kpop (and I stan a lot) their hard work and perseverance is surely what got them to where they are now and I'm sure this isn't even their peak yet, they'll continue to reach higher heights.
