The pink coloured sealant for the diesel pump sprocket should have gone around the outside and not the inside of the sprocket so that it met face to face with the part of the pump that the simmering went over.

Great video. At 4.26 we can see the engine raised to remove the front upper bolt from the engine mount support. I can't get the lower front bolt out. No clearance below and can't raise engine enough. How did you do it?
The trick is that the bolts do not need to be completely removed from the mount assembly for the assembly to be removed. Unscrew the fasteners and withdraw them as far as they will go, that should be enough for them to release the mount assembly.
@@KrzysztofW-j1ceven then the bottom one would not budge as I couldn't angle the bracket enough to remove as one. In the end I jacked the engine up a little further than I would have liked and levered it away from the wing a fraction so I could pop the bracket out. Thanks for the quick reply.

Absolutely fantastic video. Thank you so much! One question by the way -- is it necessary to drain all the engine oil before umounting the wet belt housing cover? Like draining the coolant when changing the water pump?
You should not be using an extension on a torque wrench

Hello good, I have the same engine, but it is supposed to have a lower chain. Can it be detected if it has a chain or belt by difference in noise in the motor? Does it sound different depending on whether you have an oil-bathed chain or belt? Thanks. Because otherwise how could you know without having to drop the entire distribution? All the best

I really want to do this to my olds alero that damn belt feels like the weakest link my buddy had an impala with the 3.4 in it and the belt slipped because his tensioner failed he rebuilt it and the same thing happened less than a year later even with a new belt and tensioner and new pulleys
