Saw Canned Heat at the 40yr Anniversary in Golden Gate Park SF! I woulda been here in '69 if I was alive, then. Timeless!!
They were a joke but real 50s artist like Jerry Lee Lewis. Elvis Presley. Chuck Berry. Ricky Nelsen. Fats Domino the Every Brothers. Carl Perkins were hip vTen years later pot LSD hair bell bottoms songs went from 2 minutes to infinitynprogressions😂

Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson ... an underrated musical genius whom died way too young.
Poor alan wilson only 27 when he died, one of the so called 27 club.
This is what we would call jamming. Foot stomping head bopping music
Love Buffalo Springfield and CSNY follow the muse

Alan Wilson. The Pride of Arlington, Massachusetts.
what a great find this day sunday here in the Philippines set of canned heat performance at Woodstock 70 year old man
Not sure where it's from, but definitely not from Woodstock. (OK, maybe I'm wrong.)
It's from Woodstock. For many, many years The Woodstock Project has been collecting any and all audio and video of the festival (as I have for over 50 years). Some of these videos can be found at gettyimages.com and the audio is the actual recorded song at Woodstock that was released in 2019 as part of the Back To The Garden 38 CD set that includes every song by every artist at Woodstock (except for 2 songs by Jimi Hendrix that were barred by Jimi's estate). Thanks for watching!
How the hell did Getty Images get to brand much of this stock?
I had all the canned heat comics when I was stationed in SF, unfortunately my ex threw them out when I was deployed
I saw Canned Heat in a concert at a small college back in 1971. The Allman Brothers Band opened for them. I'm a huge fan of ABB, having seen them four times previously including the 2nd Atlanta Pop Festival, but that night they disappointed me. They just phoned it in until the final jam number. I think they were really tired of being on the road and it was just a little, podunk venue. Canned Heat came out and played their hearts out. In my opinion, they blew ABB off the stage, no mean feat by a long stretch. I've always thought Canned Heat was under-appreciated, though not by me. richard --
Right on , Flynn.
