# 6 | Good Job | Seven Things a Leader Never Says
In day six of our Seven Things a Leader Never Says series, we’re tackling the phrase, “Good job.” While it might feel like encouragement, blanket praise often comes across as insincere and lacks the specificity needed to inspire and guide your team. Great leaders take the time to provide specific, meaningful feedback that motivates and helps others understand what success looks like.
🧐 Reflection Question: When was the last time you gave specific feedback? How did it impact the person you were encouraging?
✅ Action Step: Look for an opportunity this week to recognize someone’s actions and deliver detailed feedback they can build on.
💡 Quote of the Day: “Recognition is not a scarce resource. You can’t use it up or run out of it.” - Susan M. Heathfield
📅 Join us tomorrow for the final video in this series, where we’ll reveal the seventh thing a leader should never say!

In day four of our Seven Things a Leader Never Says series, we’re tackling the phrase, “It’s not my fault.” Pointing fingers might feel easier in the moment, but it creates a culture of defensiveness and erodes accountability over time. In day two of our Seven Things a Leader Never Says series, we’re tackling the phrase, “But we’ve always done it this way.” While it may seem harmless, this mindset quietly stifles innovation, discourages new ideas, and signals resistance to change. 🧐 Reflection Question: What’s one process, habit, or practice in your organization that hasn’t been questioned in a while? Good for you! Great job!! I’m on a similar journey!
Hey man I watch your video regularly. Don't mind if I ask you that would you reply my comment
Thank you for tuning in and being part of this journey! I hope this Goals series has inspired you to gain clarity on your goals and helped you with actionable steps to move forward. Remember, every step you take brings you closer to where you want to be-keep going!
Hi can you do also Michael hyatt book Your best year ever its worth to record videos
Great suggestions-I completely agree, that’s a fantastic book! When the series picks back up soon, I’ve got even more gems to share. I tried to keep it to one book per author in the first 20. Let’s see where this journey takes us!
Brian just add 1 new chapter help others?
For this series, I’m taking a “follow-along” approach. Due to copyright restrictions, I won’t be able to provide or display the source material directly, as I do not own the rights to Brian Tracy’s work.
Hi do you have 2nd edition is it the same as 3rd version of the book?
I’ve read the second edition several times, and the key concepts remain consistent. The third edition includes an added chapter and streamlines some content for a more updated version. The audio version is even more condensed and doesn’t fully align with the structure of the books but still captures the same high-level concepts. Since each format differs slightly, and I’ve worked through all three, my approach is to extract and review the big ideas with context so you can find value in the process.
Keep posting mate .. be consistent
Thanks, I'm committed to showing up every day and looking forward to completing this journey together!
or can u plz do like this read this book and upload video on TH-cam please
Thanks for the comment and for joining me on this journey! The best way to access the material on TH-cam is by searching for “Brian Tracy Goals Full Audiobook.” It’s the second edition, which I reference in the first video. I hope this helps and elevates your goals!
@reesedcagle its same as 2nd ver? I also have 2nd. So only 1 chapter new rest of the book text is the same?

Definitely a great book
What is the name of the app you mentioned at the end?
It’s Logos Bible Software, listed in the app store as Logos: Deep Bible Study.
“I’m good enough to get started” Love that!!
Love the commitment!! Great episode.
Congratulations on starting your youtube channel and for the consistency so far. We would celebrate more at 365 days
Thanks so much! It's been fun challenging myself to stay consistent. I'm enjoying the journey.
I often find that “my pride” is the very obstacle, obstructing me from completing the assignment, that the LORD gave me to accomplish. Because when my pride becomes my obsession, at that very point, it becomes more “about me” and I forget the most important objective of my assignment. That I do this, for the love, of my Heavenly Father, GOD Almighty. With the goal of completing the work, that HE inspired me to achieve. And that It is for “HIS good” and according to “HIS purpose”.
I love that reflection, Mike. You have what it takes! Keep moving forward.
If you're curious about exploring a faith journey, I highly recommend this video from one of my spiritual mentors, Tom. His ability to explain the Bible in such a simple yet profound way-using just a single sheet of paper-is truly remarkable. th-cam.com/video/FbrYb7m1knY/w-d-xo.html
Day 6, clarifying my goals one bite at a time
Day 5, still catching up and checking my goals
reflecting on my routine, Day 3
Day two, catching up.
Happy belated birthday Reese, starting today, and I’ll be there.
So good, Reese!! Love the point on “goal stacking!”
Brilliant!! So good, Reese! One question that I’ve recently been asking myself when self-reflecting is this: “what is ONE thing, that if I changed and/or improved in my life, would make the biggest difference?”
Fire! Thanks for sharing!
