How I carve fish-shaped plates out of pine using a V chisel and gouges.
I make the hole in the first to measure the depth that I want to work on, so I won't pass through, and then outline the shape with a V chisel then I used different size gouges to remove the wood of the bowl after that just cut out the shape with the jigsaw and I trimmed the edges with a trim router, a bit o sanding and I apply linseed oil to i.
