I finally got all gold symbols. In addition to the speeding team I added Umbreon, Latias, and Ursarang. They came in clutch during the Pyramid and Palace.

I think that the new Emerald any% route where you skip the 2nd half of the gyms by Glitzer Popping could be used to speed up an All Gold Symbols speedrun. After you beat the Elite Four the post-game triggers happen like normal, right? If running that as unrestricted any% you could then do Slepnir17's ACE to get all Gold Symbols without doing a single Battle Frostier battle. You still need to unlock the Battle Frontier as ACE setup requires the Battle Tower cloning glitch.

Thank you for posting this video, I ended up playing side-by-side with you on a Japanese version. I was doing the playthrough for the shadow Scizor, This made my life infinitely better since I had no idea what the text was saying, the one thing I noticed is the text is way faster in the jap version.
