New Mexico High Country Public Land Deer hunt.
Public land deer hunt in the high country. Didn’t see many bucks bigger than these in this unit. Haven’t drawn this unit in a few years. Country has got some good rain and the grass was good. Lots of water around.

Green Mountains and a trail surprise
มุมมอง 822 หลายเดือนก่อน
A short video of a nice cool ride in the mountains doing a bit of scouting for an upcoming archery deer hunt. When we got up to the top we were surprised to find a trail that the trees had been bucked up, possibly by the firefighters?

Pole Canyon 2 Riding the Canyons
มุมมอง 168ปีที่แล้ว
Riding the trails at Pole Canyon Ranch. There are many trails to ride here, they vary from sandy to rocky. There can be some steep parts so be prepared if you're not confident to ride down to walk. Our trail dogs enjoyed the ride except for the sand burs & stickers, next time we go we will put their boots on. We always take water for them because we just never know. There was some water in one ...

Hard to feed? Nope!
มุมมอง 70ปีที่แล้ว
This is a short video of how we cut our 3x4x8 bales of wheat hay for easier feeding. We use a Stihl chainsaw with a 20 inch bar, We found that this cuts about half way thru the bales, then we just flip to cut the other side. After we have cut thru in-between the middle strings we can the cut the halves into 3rds or just half again, making the quarters about the same as a 2 wire bale. This makes...
Ft Stanton Snowy River Cave- Apache Trail from Hwy 220 North
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
This video is a down & back, on the Apache Trail. It's a great trail & we always see something different on it. Sometimes we see deer or elk. With all the rain that happened during the late summer the scrub oak sure did grow up, we think that at some point this trail will need to be worked on to keep the trail open. If you are enjoying these videos of our rides please, like, subscribe & share. ...
Damn trashy people...
มุมมอง 50ปีที่แล้ว
We found some some trash while on the trail. Being we're all stewards of our public lands, we must pickup what others leave behind. Luckily, it was close to the roads so we were able to take "Rocky", our side by side down and bag it up! Please remember, leave it better than you found it! As always, we appreciate your support! Here is the video where we found the trash. th-cam.com/video/2C8UXzFY...
Rake what?
มุมมอง 210ปีที่แล้ว
Tractor Supply Rake rebuild & reinforcement. We bought a 3 point TSC rake many years ago, it has served us pretty well, but was definitely was not made for use on a skid steer with tons of down pressure! After bending the main beam the tines kept falling out so we decided to beef it up & make it better than original. Materials for upgrade include 4 inch channel and 1/4 by 4 inch flat strap.

Us too!
Thanks so much for your videos. Enjoyed your ride this morning;we had to turn the clock back today here in the Eastern Time Zone of northeast Tennessee. Now 5:49am. Happy Trails
Happy you enjoyed the ride! I don't like this time change either, sure doesn't give you much daylight in the evenings!
I like it!
Thank you!
One of my favorite places to ride
I wish I knew about this! Do you havve other rides on schedule? I'm in the TX panhandle
Please join the Cloud Riders of NM Facebook group if not already a member. We as a family ride all the time, & have just started participating in group rides. Many times it’s just some friends getting together & riding. But it’s great to meet new friends at the group rides & camping trips.
Thanks.
Wish you could have joined us! We’ll go again!
Jealous!! That looks amazing!!!
We will have to take you, it's a really cool experience for sure!
Onward and upward yes sir ... nice !
Yes indeed
Thanks for the video. New Mexico is probably my favorite place to ride in the southwest. I camped at Jacks Creek in 2007, and rode in that area for several days before moving to the White Mountain Wilderness. The trails and scenery at both places are outstanding. Regards from northeast Tennessee
So glad you like the video. We will be headed to SW Tennessee next year. NM definitely has some amazing scenery!
❤❤
Beautiful view! Great ride and excellent company!!!
Yes it was!
Looks like a great loop ride. When did they open this trail?
It has been open for a couple of years. We don't know how many equestrians use this loop as it it not near the Rob Jaggers campground, it's about a 20-30 minute drive from there & about 3 miles from Lincoln.
Awesome video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Wow..you guys got it all covered ..nice setup ..looking forward to how that star link works
So far it has worked great, granted we only have tried it away from home at Quemado, but didn't have any issues!
Cool you have comments enabled .. good stuff.. drove right by there yesterday
Looks close to home ….. I did watch your spring 2022 video ..looked like a good ride ..I think when you upload the video you click that it is made for kids and that will disable comments… keep up the good work next time your close get a hold of me 😊
Yes it was, just across the river from us. We are still learning the whole TH-cam thing lol
It was really dry Brett. We ended up moving because of the fire just over the ridge.
Nice looks a little dry ..
