While "asthetic" is a word, it wasnt one that i heard often growing up. We had a panicked mom who would say dont mind the mess if someone stopped by randomly even though it wasnt messy to us. I would love to have what i see however its not attainable now or maybe ever but thats ok.

When I became a Christian, it was God who changed my heart to stop watching movies or series that involve magic and sorcery. I used to watch Charmed, Harry Potter, Supernatural,... I don't do that anymore. Same for the fact that I don't listen to worldly music anymore. What I do want to say is that God put this on my heart not to do this anymore. This also happened gradually, not overnight. This is different for everyone and at a different time and I didn't stop watching because others said so. God bless! 🙏🙏🙏

When I was in my early 20s I used to follow lots of these channels and was essentially wasting money on certain things. I changed what I consume over time and now I see all this for what it is. We really are richer than we think and we don’t need lots of stuff. I spend most of my money on good food now. I love food so yeah.

I stopped 90% of social media when an influencer in a video I was watching kept going on and on about how she was so excited to “style her pantry” in her new house. The absurdity of styling one’s pantry-- it’s the INSIDE of a cupboard, ffs. I hope we’re finally starting to see the beginning of the end of influencer driven over consumption.
