 There are some cool things to see in Nebraska.
We decided a last-minute trip from Omaha ended up all the way around in a circle never left the state of Nebraska started out at chimney rock then to Scott's Bluffs monument north to toadstool, stopped off at cowboy Trail bridge over the Niobrara river. I am surprised we even found a waterfall Smith Falls. trips are always better with your best friend and a dog.

Always needed a Wi-Fi option before there was one. Surprised on how well it worked. Been using it for almost 2 years. Even able to leave on vacation and not worrying if my kids would come over on time to let the dog out or not. combined with a dog treat dispenser and speakers on my security cameras I could call my dog in from outside and lock the door when bad weather was coming.

    Amen, I had the surgery 11 days ago, similar experience, the first week felt great just sore from the incision and surgery, and soon I began having similar nerve pain in the glute and down the leg again ( like pre-surgery pain) here at day 11 it's still there some, not bad but I do feel it and it makes one wonder, is my herniation back? I'm like you, I've walked daily, I've had some accidental leans, and I may have picked up more than 10 pounds once in the first week, those few mishaps and the familiar pain give you a false sense of healing... But as you said Trust the Lord and do the thing you know you must do to heal properly

      about two years before they finally accepted me for surgery, spinal stenosis, micro laminectomy L4, L5 couple of weeks before driving. I have a lot of weakness. I don't remember much pinching at three weeks, today I am totally healed. I was back to work and three months I believe at part-time and very light duty six months later I was walking a lot of steps and was mostly fully functional, but it's still took a year for me to gain all my strength back. in my case, it's just a 1 inch incision. I know there are many different varieties in healing from different variations of back and surgery. All I know is keep optimistic and keep moving. I started walking about an eighth of a mile at three weeks. My doctor said I should've waited till about five weeks but for me working on my body and my mind is what I needed most. I found a small pond with a trail around it and just started walking distances and then, eventually walked all the way around. It helped my body heal. It's a traumatic thing being in pain. also depression, so I made sure that I worked on my mind as well as my body just going outside and sitting and having coffee at my table and remaining in prayer and thankfulness. Was the best thing I could do. hang in there and get used to your new normal for a while. May the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give your peace

I learned to slow down and think what I am going to do before I do it. pain is just pain and I understand a little piece of the suffering that my Savior paid for me on the cross. The best advice I can give is give yourself the gift of love and patience. Like like our Father does every day.

      healed. I don't have any of the problems that brought me to surgery. i'm very grateful at night. I don't have to toss and turn because I feel like I'm sitting on a raw nerve or waking up with so much pain. I don't know how I'm gonna manage the day even though I am 55 I do manage other nerve pains, like one in my upper neck that travels down my arm, which felt like a truck was parked on it that one took a few months, but healed on its own . I do credit the years of pain has been a wonderful learning opportunity. It helps me to manage the smaller paints that I get today and not let it stop me, but continue to go through my day sometime, embracing the suck and learning how to be grateful that I am not in a worse position, those that suffer parts that don't work or constant severe pain every day. few things that I carry with me every day is to embrace your fate. Stay grateful for what you have, and not focusing on what you don't.

    • @boxmanic
      @boxmanic 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @getmoving1090 great to know it healed, how long would you say you need to allow for healing? I've ready anything up to a year. I had the op around 10 days ago. First few days I was pain free, then after the drugs wore off I felt some nerve pain around the buttock. I had a follow up and was told this is normal and I will need to allow time for the nerve to heal now. I was told to start physio and continue on the medicine for now. The difference is the medicine actually works now, prior to the surgery nothing would help reduce the pain except for ice which would help a bit. I am getting to sleep at night which I couldn't before for last 6 months. I am so grateful to God for being able to walk again and my mindset is stronger than ever to get back to normal life one day.

    • @getmoving1090
      @getmoving1090 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@boxmanic I started walking pretty quickly even if I could only walk for 1/ fourth or a half of a mile. I usually would pick small park with the lake. It would help to lift my spirits believe it took me about two months before I actually felt like a kid do some more stuff like I would volunteer at a kitchen at a homeless shelter, really helped to get me out of my head and out of my house. Most people can return to their desk jobs after a couple of months and my case it was between two or three, but I was more maintenance so more physical. There was still ups and downs and even sometimes I had to back away from work for a while, and I also had to really learn how to anticipate how much something weighed before I attempted to lift it, and I gave myself strict boundaries of things I would, but I was much stronger after six months, but I really don't feel like I gained my full strength back, or my confidence of full strength Somewhere around a a year but after two years, I was still careful with my back but I didn't have any more problems that wasn't contributed to just age. Today I'm rebuilding a retaining wall with 50 pound blocks and a lot of shoveling always have this fear in the back of my mind, but I just take it easy and keep moving forward, always afraid my back is just gonna tweak and go out. But at 55 it's nice to let my muscles get strong from a long winter doing some dirt work and still gaining more confidence than my back is healed. Praise God.

    • @boxmanic
      @boxmanic 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @getmoving1090 walking has not been an issue for me, I am walking loads and I was able to start working after a few days. I bought a stand up desk at home to allow me to stand and work. I also respond to emails etc from my phone while I am laying in bed. The only concern for me was the nerve pain came back but I was told this is just the nerve healing and I need to give it time. The difference now is that the medications I am taking actually work and take away the pain. Prior to surgery the pain never went away. I kept the compression socks on for the first week and been wearing a back brace ever since. I was told to wear that for a month My strength felt good within few days but I am being patient knowing that rushing things may cause more harm. My surgery was laser which is supposed to be more accurate and faster recovery than the traditional method of microdisectomy. The incision was also very small and healed very quickly.

    After my first surgery they had to immediately do another surgery on me. They left pieces inside and had to access the other side of my spine. I have a huge scar with 13 staples and I’m at my 3 week point but I’m in pretty bad pain as of today.. My pain is isolated to my back but it’s hard to walk and I don’t know why. I agree with you it’s mentally taxing on us because we can’t tell what happened. You might want to take some medication like muscle relaxers or gabapentin. Motrin isn’t helping me but I pray that I can go so work on Monday. I’m sending you lots of love on your recovery and I’m going through it myself. It’s not easy. God bless you.

      my heart breaks for you and others like you, and me who have been brought to the edge of life and suffering. But I believe pain to have been the best teacher in my life like the suffering of my savior. I got a taste of what it was like and I understanding of what a gift it is to be without pain. Since my surgery it took me a year to get I believe full recovery . Now I have been pain-free in my lower back for a long time I get to experience round of pain this time in my upper spine which affects the nerve running down my arm. It was the most severe pain I've ever felt felt like a truck was parked on my arm. This time they are talking about more shots and surgery but as of now I'm doing what I can with TH-cam videos Learning exercises and stretching doing my own physical therapy. In the last two months my pain is gone from a 10 to 2 maybe a two if I move a certain way what I learned is nerves have a covering and when those coverings get damaged it's the most painful thing you'll ever feel, and it takes time to rebuild the coating around the nerve. All that to say is how grateful I truly am today because of my pain I have started a new job which is a humbling and gratifying thing. I would've never done on my own to help others through their pain and suffering, both mental and physical learning how to accept pain in my life as one of the many steps that keep me full of hope in the end and today I know it's hard to understand but pain is just pain so many other peoples will never understand that people like you and me can survive on high levels of pain, and still find love, compassion, and gratefulness. Our people that have truly learned to live do what you can to get moving. Ask yourself should I really lift that and accept yourself for the new person that you're becoming, and embrace your fate. We all have unique paths we follow in life. On the hard days. Just remember this will pass. And on the good days remember this will to pass. Learn to be grateful in both.

    Week two on removal of extrusion of L2/L3 that had been compressed to 3 mm. Have been taking small walks with a Walker, usually have some pain at night. Am managing my pain with Tylenol and a muscle relaxer at night. Off the pain killers for three days now. I would like to be more active, but am pretty optimistic about recovering and maybe being able to go fishing next spring. Thank you for your share.

    Thanks! I just got a 2024 for my work van and need to pull those out to make room and reduce weight.

    Thanks for posting i'm looking to do the same conversion. How were the middle seats to remove. I think I might leave the 40 split but definitely want the space for a compressor fridge

      I’m looking into the 12 V to upgrade for my ice chest. But the seats are just deliver. Pull it. They pop out a little heavy.

    I was fined by the police because my bike was blocking view of the number plate...... in Australia you have to relocate number plate to back of tow frame. and then can only drive during daylight as there is no light on it......grrrr

      That would sure make things difficult, around here cops mostly don’t care what you do

    It's intereting they gave you a back brace. They never even mentioned it to me. They didn't even mention walking lol. Just were concerned with the bathing/swimming only. I'm done with my 3rd week now. No pain first 2 weeks, 2nd week just minor pain. This week neuropathy is better in my feet until this evening lol. Laying down is the worst still - it causes me foot numbness. There is zero nerve pain anymore though.

    On my 2024, no lights come on when I open the hatch or side doors. Yet, after a day of having them open, I did get a battery warning... When open do they power up something? It'd be night to leave the side doors and hatch open at a campsite at times. I'd welcome hearing your experience.

      Good question I haven’t tried just leaving my doors open. I did shut off the passenger notification sensors. Maybe try shutting the automatic doors off with the button on the dash left of the steering wheel.

    I just wanted to know when you took all the seats out do you have any reminder lights on the dash about seatbelts? The Carnaval is a great van build, because all the seats come out!

    I’m -1 week to L4/L5 laminectomy/discectomy procedure. I appreciate the insight into what I have to look forward to. Been dealing with disc herniation and resulting life altering pain for 8 months now. Ready to be on the road to recovery.

      just take it hour by hour and day by day. Time seems so long when you’re in the middle of it but I am three years from that point and totally pain-free I’ve done a lot of walking in my recovery starting after just a few weeks out with my doctor said I could even just a quarter of a mile around a pond. I think you did more for my depression than I did for my healing but pain is a heavy drag on the mind. I believe walking was my best medication. I’ll be praying for you.

    Why? 😅 it’s much easier to remove the 2nd row instead? plus just stow the 3rd row in that slot INSTEAD of finding something put in that slot TO COVER THE FLOOR. 😂 ohmgee… i thought of what is the purpose for you to remove the 3rd row, probably for cleaning or repairs, but if you had to want to luggage things around with the back all flat floor, might as well buy a 2nd hand/used van or old Carnival instead of pillaging the new Carnival😅
