Well that’s absolutely terrible that they broke your wheelchair, but glad it got fixed. Looks like you had fun on your school trip which is great and congratulations on you and your teammates winning the competition. Did you teach Lolla to go to the bathroom so you can wipe her paws before she goes on the furniture? If so any tips on how to do that would be greatly appreciated I would love for my SD to learn that.

We definitely need more buttons to push open the door, especially if you have a service dog or a white cane especially if you’re holding onto other stuff and you can’t push open the door. Those buttons are really helpful for me.
I'm too weak to open doors, I wish they had more buttons.
If you have a service dog, you could make a handle pull with a hook on one end to hook to doors handles - Then your service dog can grab it to pull the door open for you.

I'm in OK too, I'm training my next service dog right now! He is a black standard poodle pup with white on his back feet. If you ever see us, give us a wave! I have neon green hair so you can't miss us!

So sorry to hear that you’ve been going through so many health challenges sending you all the positive thoughts and good wishes. It’s really ridiculous how many paywalls and barriers insurance puts up to thorough and comprehensive care. We should have a system in place where someone is matched with a specialist in a particular condition and there’s a payment plan that worked out regardless of insurance and financial access. The care and treatment is what’s important not someone’s financial assets or particular insurance enrollment. I’m glad you’re able to go to the mayo clinic, I don’t have any personal experience with it but I’ve heard good things about it from other Service Dog Handler I follow here on TH-cam.

the struggle with flying with a service dog is real, so for me and my family, we have opted to take grey hounds or trains or rent a car. The amount of disorganized TSA lines, and undertrained staff is just unacceptable for them having been in business for way too long. The amount the air lines cost is completely unrealistic to have to deal with these issues. But I also know that that is not an option for every one or timing does not allow for ground travel or in not available by ground, but I really hope things went well after this fiasco. Personally I would rather charter a ferry than have these sorts of issues, good on you for getting through it well.

I learned a trick about mascara if you get it somewhere you do not want it, let it dry and take a unused spooly and brush it off with the tip of it once it is dry works like a charm
