Das war eine Zeit in der österreichischen Rallye-Meisterschaft! 🤩 Markenvielfalt, Autos mit Ausstrahlung, viele unterschiedliche Fahrertypen, die für Spitzenergebnisse in Frage gekommen sind... Ganz anders als in den letzten 20 Jahren, wo es vor Allem im vorderen Bereich oft ein ziemlicher Einheitsbrei war und wo die Verfolger des Führenden spätestens ab dem dritten Auto so gut wie immer schon weit abgeschlagen waren. Irgendwas war im Jahr 1997 wesentlich besser, was Rallyes betrifft. Findet selber heraus, was es ist. 😶‍🌫

This event in video was 2002 no in 2001. In 2001 Richard Burns was Subaru driver, Armin Schwarz was by Skoda. Francois Delecour was by Ford in third car.

How this was a great rally driver and a genuine nice and jolly man. Did had the luck to talk to him at 2 occasions. And had the honour of helping him out when he had to restore his Manta 400 after it crashed out in a rally in Marocco. Thanks Guy for being the best driver ever behind the wheel of an Opel 400. I dare to say he was the best 400 driver that ever lived. Even better than Walter Röhrl and Jimmy McRae, behind the wheel of a 400.

Il y a environ 5 ans il a vendu ces 2 Manta 400's anciennes et tous les pièces 400. Il est retiré de la scène de rally.
