Honestly the Pokemon company does not care about what anyone thinks. They will continue with poor quality control, batching errors, and low hit rates because they know you will continue to waste your hard earned money on mid product at best. Spend your money how you like, but as someone who has been collecting since the 90s, I am just going to buy the "sun"breon flat out. The other thing people can consider is that vintage cards are selling for decent prices right now so that vintage grail you may be looking for may be in your price range right now! (instead of dropping hundreds or thousands on the new "hype" set). I do appreciate PokeRev showing the true reality of this set, especially after opening "2000" worth of product. From my experience etbs seem to have weird batching issues. Not just holos but you'll get the same uncommon 4 times in one but 0 in another. After 60+ packs of 151 I only got 1 nidoran male which is a common.

Stop buying from the hoarders and wait. Get a life. You don’t need a Pokemon card right now lol. Only way it stops.

if people are gonna be scared to open it due to low pull rates....its just gonna cause the hits to be massive in price....which will cause people to eventually open them.

The batching issues feel like they completely forgot to print eeveelution SIRs altogether in the first run. Wait for next wave of products!!

Im probably feeling myself, but if it only took me 2 packs to pull the Latias Ex. I feel like i can do it again. Then again i havent pulled a single Charizard from the 151 set.

I was able to order only one PC ETB, East Coast USA .... and quite honestly, im probably going to sell it. It looks like its best to skip JT altogether, maybe try for Rocket, but beyond that, looks like a bad year for the TCG. I hate to think what TCG players for tournaments will have to go through for cards needed to update their decks

Pokemon know there is a supply and demand issue, so the fact they have made the pull rates so low is just pure GREED meaning people will need to buy more and more

Why is Pokémon such a big gamble on the English side. Getting really lame. Early S&V was fun. JP booster boxes which cost less than a ETB has a guarantee pull rate. I just don't get it. This horrible pull rate might be a good thing for those who FOMO. Hopefully, people just stop buying these Prismatic Evolutions ETBs at 3x MSRP from scalpers (including LGSs because yeah they are scalping too).

All I wanted from the set was Ceruledge. Honestly I doubt I'll ever get him though. It's just really sad because I remember when sets like Tag Team came out and I was able to get it everywhere. I even was able to pull the now well know Latios and Latias alt art. It's just sad to know I may never get that feeling again of hitting that rare card of a set or a card you really want.

Watching PokeRev's latest video ripping all those packs was so scary and depressing to watch - I've already preordered for a lot of money and watching him not even getting a single SIR was heartbreaking and makes me scared to even open my own products when I get them.. I just want the Eeveelutions SIR and I haven't seen anyone pull them from the English set yet. Horrifying.

i genuinely don't understand how everyone doesn't know this, but no, pokemon isn't short on 'printing power.' That's never been the case, except before they bought the printing company. The sets are printed a year early. They printed to the demand of sv01-04, crown zenith, and probably paldean fates. They didn't print enough because WHEN they printed it, they had just had a year where their printing amounts were way up, and demand fell off. Just watched pokene's video where he explains obsidian flames and paradox had a lot more to allocate than stores thought, so they naturally over-requested to increase the amount they'd get cut down to, and then the set was simply printed to what was seen as "demand," so people got too much allocated and declined and distros sat on it for a year. That's the whole story on printing. So, THAT is one year ago, +/-, that's why printing is low.

West coast got boned on journey together pre orders on pokemon center. im east coast and i tried to wake up my west coast friends. I can imagine their feeling of defeat not waking up early enough because they thought they had a few more hours of sleep.

Now that the pull is so bad no normal person will buy from scalpers rip you guys

Pokemon probably can't keep up with the print demand because they've pumped out so many sets in the last few months 🤷🏼‍♀️

With the abysmal pull rates and absurd second market pricing, prismatic evolutions and journey together may not be going to be fond sets for kids and young adults to remember. They'll be fond of other sets they can get ahold of at this rate.

I’m sure mostly scalpers they buy everything then rip ship on websites. Hopefully they make a max per person. I’m sure the company will be printing as much as it can

SIR pull rates seem to be 1/60 packs (Like Evolving Skies) now that we have more data, but with 32 SIRs thats a really tough pull rate for the Eeveelutions, as those are about 1/4 amongst the SIR. So basically you are looking at 1/232 for an Eeveelution

I just cancelled my Prismatic evolutions preorders because very bad SIR rate. Many people opened boosters and were disappointed. I dont want waste money for that set. I love eevelutions but i have limits.

the pokemon hobby has many cry babies , just buy or pass, open and stfu

I’d say adapt. Buy the chase you want if the packs ratios cost the same amount. Then go and open older sets until the burn out hits because Pokemon doesn’t stop and always comes out with more products. If your wanted to open new packs for the chance at value then booster bundles are the best next to the UPC its number game. Plus that new way to scan packs is gross so don’t buy loose packs!!!!!!

I can't even imagine how the rocket set will be, but something to note is Ebay's terms say anything for pre-sale has to be shipped within 40 days of purchase. Not sure what will happen to all the sales that have already been done.

I think I’m just gonna stick to buying the Korean boxes for this one, I know they’re worth less but it’s also called terastal festival so I’m hoping the pull rate isn’t too bad. It’s also significantly cheaper 😭 hopefully the English boxes will become a bit more accessible later this year but I’m unsure 🤞🏻

The reason that stores are restricted is because now there is 1000% more online and privat people ordering cases and 100/1000 of packs etb etcetera.. and that's what is ruening the hobbi and the price.. and there is Moore than enough product out there, I live in Norway and all the shops have pokemon products (English) so same as America, so in little Norway there is gona be hundreds if not thousands of etbs.. scalpers is the problem.

backdooring 1000 packs is insaneeee, also a 0.2% pull rate on SARs is absolutely wild

They don’t want to print to demand. If they did, stuff would be left on the shelves… Nothing on the shelves further drives demand, ensuring the shelves remain empty.

Between scalpers and people buying everything so they can be the next big seller on whatnot, the hobby has become more like watching stocks on wall street then a fun hobby.

it’s a thing tho, it’s an inflation based hobby, what i mean by that is: it’s better to keep the items lower, it adds value while making you crave the pulls. you can keep the percentages the same but mass produce, the big problem is that they probably have a set card number of the big cards for a time frame, over time the numbers will increase but basing it off of inflation helps understand that the supply goes up, there’s no reason for value on the sir’s, the ace spec, gold cards, etc. unless you moderate the initial launch it sucks but for the collection based side of things while keeping the value that’s always been there and another reason to hunt cards, it’s better to try and moderate the launch. i want the packs on release and i’ll miss out but i have to understand that this is how collectibles are always launched it could be they are trying to pump out the packs but i feel like it’d make more sense to keep the same pace as before. they are testing the audience numbers, reactions, quality, and rarity with each set. that’s business, especially from billion dollar industry🤷‍♂️ also they are trying to make money but they do care that they’re target commercial group does well in life, so that they’re coming back consistently, it helps retailers, the consumers and the business while not flooding the market too, especially if the set flops (i think the set will be a great set to look back on but still, the idea is always with every set)

Honestly stores just need to straight out limit the amount of pre orders.

Awesome job with a variety of solid content. I'm liking that you're not only ripping packs and branching into other stuff I wouldn't think to look for!

Stores should do a limited amount for each customer so should be enough for everyone that wants them
