    Is that a forward finocyl? Why did you decide to do that?

    • @AeroPropulsions
      @AeroPropulsions 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I chose a forward finocyl to increase the thrust at the beginning of the burn. Now that you mention it, it would be smart to do a few test comparing the two. The biggest reason I chose forward finocyl is to reduce nozzle erosion and lower peak temperatures. This helps increasing nozzle lifespan.

    Explained very well When you build the SN 3 maybe you could do a video on how you drill the holes in the nozzle and rocket casing 👍🏽💯

    What does SN mean?

    • @AeroPropulsions
      @AeroPropulsions 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      "SN" stands for "Serial Number"! I use it to identify and track different iterations of my motors throughout their development process.

    do you intend flying them ? what do you think of one time use PVC rockets ?

    • @AeroPropulsions
      @AeroPropulsions วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes I am planning on flying SN3 in the summer of 2025! I started with single-use PVC rocket motors. They offer great potential and are extremely cost-effective. I’m also working on designing and testing an affordable, high-performance rocket motor, also made from PVC!

    Thanks for sharing the experience. few question I may : 1- what do you think where the most expenses go to to in this kind of projects ? 2- what is the comparison of this motor to the sugar one (in term of power) ?

    • @AeroPropulsions
      @AeroPropulsions วันที่ผ่านมา

      For my rocket motor "SN2," the most expensive components are the custom CNC-machined nozzle and bulkhead. While there are certainly cheaper ways to build a rocket motor, my main goal is to create a fully reusable high-power motor! In this video and others, I am using a sugar-based propellant known as "Rocket Candy." I've optimized the formulation specifically for my motor to ensure maximum efficiency!

    Thanks for posting this. That's a really beautiful test site. I'd definitely recommend going with a metal deflection plate. You can bolt it to the concrete with specialty masonry screws and pre-drill the holes with a hammer drill and a masonry bit made for an impact drill. .... (you probably know all that already, but tossed it out just in case not to save you time and trouble) ... Great job!
