I met him last week at my work! What an awesome humble man! I hope next time he comes in I'm working.

I first heard and saw these fellers in San Diego in about ‘77/‘78 and was floored. It was GT and the Delaware Destroyers. Last time was in ‘86 at the Troubadour in LA.

There is only one bad ass mofo, rock n roll band and that's, George Thouroughgood and the Destroyers. Kick ass!

This WAS, IS, always shall be a Bad Ass Documentary. Not only a mini doc on GTD but then rapping with complete song / video. Hope you have more stuff because do great entertaining work.

I saw George and the band at a small venue in downtown Minneapolis in the early 80’s. By far the best concert I’ve ever been too, hands down.

I've loved this kind of direct, raw bluesy rock from day one, George and Alvin Lee were always playing where ever I lived. Great rock doc....much appreciated.

These guys are the band that introduced me to real rock and roll, not just top 40 songs on the radio. I’ll never forget finding a roughed-up, battered copy of the 1986 Live album while sweeping the parking lot of Mothers Pizza at 17, and instantly feeling it click. I’ve had several other unexpected musical discoveries along the way, but I don’t think another album has had that kind of impact on me since.

I was at the 81 boulder Colorado show and I thought the destroyers were way better than the stones.

There are certain songs that you just ALWAYS crank up to MAX...!! and SING along as loud as you possibly can..!! "Bad to the Bone" is one of those songs...!!

I saw them play here in Australia in around 1987? George was getting fat and he sweated like a bastard but he played like a beautiful monster..they were just awesome..very influential on my own playing. Love the man.

My wife and I have been seeing GT in concert since the early 80's. I'd estimate we've been to around 20 concerts. Just wish he would play some of his newer music instead of just a 'greater hits' show. His last couple of albums have been amazing. Not a lot of groups can carry that kind of energy over that time frame. I love the Stones and The Who, but can't listen to their most recent albums. GT is our mainstay. God bless him and his band!

it was short and sweet but love the story, anything by George and the Destroyers is "I got's to know bowss" moment! After 50 years of rocking🎸🎤🎷and rolling🎶🥁🎤 through history, there must be a ton of stories to tell...so...tell em! 😉😊😁 My favorite rock band since day 1. Got to see them at least 20 times when they rocking and rolling through Canada! Back in 78/79 a late buddy of mine invited me over to visit his buddies Budweisers, and here he had this album "Move It On Over" I was hooked and been a fan since!

I made a tape in grade 11 recorded from the radio and had an auto reverse ghetto blaster. One Bourbon, One Scotch...played over and over as I hand wrote my homework during all nighters. That song is great live! All of them are. Great performers.

Man, these cats are savage live! Ive seen em 3 times and everytime is a blast. George has energy that dont quit. I wear my Kangol hat too, you know to look like ol boy playing the Saxamaphone. Long live the Delaware Destroyers!

Bad to the bone is great, but my favorite Thorogood song is One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer. With all due respect to the writer of the song John Lee Hooker, in my opinion, George did it better than JLH. George made that song his own. That song, and I Drink Alone are my favorites that the Deleware Destroyers do.

There was a video recording a guitar challenge between this guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan. This guy couldn’t play like Stevie, so he always kept stepping in front of him like an insecure alpha male. Stevie politely moved to the background but continued to dominate this guy in the shadows. The Texan won me over and I never listened to George Thurough-thing again. I bet George feels differently now looking back, disrespecting Stevie. 🧐

I was at the Superdome in New Orleans for that show (which at the time was the largest indoor concert ever held). The Neville Brother (who we all knew and loved) opened followed by George Thorogood (who we didn’t)…..and he and his band blew the roof off of the dome. When they left the stage everyone in New Orleans knew who George Thorogood & the Destroyers were.

If they have the tune on "Married with Children," then it must be good! 🙂Fun band to listen to!

It may have been mentioned earlier, but I believe the band was first known as "George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers". I suspect they dropped the "Delaware" from their name to avoid, or eliminate, their local ties. Any comments? BTW, I saw their performance in Knoxville, TN around 1981, give or take a couple of years.

I must have played the 1st GT & The Destroyers about 1000 times. It never gets old. The opening riff to Ride On Josephine still goosebumps. I'd never heard a guitar sound like that before.

Saw GT a few times in the late 70's when it was the Delaware Destroyers - and was at the Stones show in L.A.The saddest part was Prince kicking ass for the first few songs and then suddenly getting booed off the stage and shoes being thrown from all over for no legit reason. Some the comments from the front were atrocious and unsettling.
