Love it Awesome
I literally just bought a suburban exactly like this one. Same color, wheels and step rails. I plan on doing the same thing with mine
love this chevy body style whats the chance of buying the 4 speed bell housing and all i live next to the Bristol Motor Speedway
Daddy says he needs those springs on his garage doors👍🏿
that trim with the nice curve in it goes on the back of the cab where the blue meets the white
You hit the nail on the head when you said "the bed-- is there"
Looks pretty good.
If you want to see a classic kei truck hit me up lol, I'm Alan Gordon's cousin by marriage. I've seen you at church. I knew you liked bikes but didn't know you had a thing for classic vehicles
Great video man love that truck I can’t wait to own one like it
Nice video. Any patina s10 converted trucks for sale currently ?
I thought he was going to rearend the blue truck. Awesome truck by the way.... actually both of them.
17:05 was horrible watching that caliper fall. Come on man! Use a damn zip tie or bungy.
cool. i have a 68 with dual wheels i bought for a mobile hunting/fishing camp. its been sitting fot 25 years.
How much a 350 engine cost like that?
This truck is for sale. The “valley view farm” reminded me of the ad. Dealership in NC called Streetside classics has it listed on eBay.
Maybe I missed it, but what is the width of the rear axle you have, looks like 55 inch? Or am I seeing wrong?
That transmission tunnel guy did a good job
I did a similar flip kit in the rear of my 88 suburban but without a Notch and I even used shock relocation brackets I don’t see how you drove that thing without the shocks constantly bottoming out because that’s what mine is doing.
Pretty sure we went back and put shock extensions on this one after the video was posted. Vehicle is gone now.
Wasn't GM so cheap that they just cut off 4 cylinders on a 305 small block V8 making the displacement the biggest for a 4 cylinder at the time? Definitely a boat anchor of a motor and such a cheap car that could have had the basic luxuries at a cheap price like standard a/c, power windows, power steering and a better radio. GM still loves to nickle dime their customers. Precisely why the Japanese came over here with their vehicles and changed the game and put cum all over the faces of the American car companies.
My first car was a 74 burgandy w a white vinyl top and hub caps. That 77 w 4 headlights and rallies is pretty sweet❤
It did Soundeth really good,
Your test drives always scare me 😳
What part of North Carolina are you in?
Concord
Where are you guys located?
Man I like that Jimmy.
Hey man what size socket were you using to remove that axle nut?
30mm
Alguna posibilidad que traduzcan al español estoy en Uruguay. Gracias.
Hi where are you guys out of?
Concord NC
good idea!
Sweet build, looks sharp. 🤠👍
At the point you might as well threw an LS in there
I Can still do a small block for less than $2000 parts and labor. Complete rebuild with me WP/FP/ hoses, etc LS swap would be significantly more if done properly. But yes….i get it. LS is nice.
@@gordonsmart where are you located
@@NGUFlips North Carolina
@@gordonsmart so if I bring you my truck you can do that same job I just seen in the video for $2000?
@@NGUFlips usually on a small block Chevy as long as the core is rebuildable. As long as Block good, crank good, heads good Ford and dodge parts are always more money 💰
How much did you charge for a job like this
I’m glad I found this mans channel. I got a 83 square body to do and my wife wants late 40’s early 50’s pickup. This will help a lot.
How much would you typically charge for something like this??
Are you ruining wheel spacers on the front?
We usually do not
At the very least the heads aren’t original. The 327 valve covers won’t fit the original 283 heads because of the early staggered bolt pattern.
Thanks for your input. That’s something I did not know. Thanks for watching.
very cool , i put my 59 gmc long bed on a s10 frame , looks like pretty much the same , i had to put my bed closer to the cab , im on to part 3 , be safe friends
Quality build
Thanks for watching!!
@@gordonsmart I’m from Alberta and am doing a 49 gmc onto a 99 Chevy s10 xtreme going to run the 4.3 drive line just gonna do either turbo or whipple supercharger
The engine looks more like a 327 than a 283. Could just be the valve covers. Does this car have a positraction rear and what gear ratio is the rear?
You could be correct on engine size. Not a posi. Not sure on gear ratio.
What brand of tires are those? What size?
Coker tires. 15 inch. Don’t remember specific size. I’ll look tomorrow
Best looking car ever!
Danggg with three g’s
I bet that car just floats👌🏾
I'm a Tri-five guy. That is a nice 57 Chevy!
Super Kool 57 , I have been a Tri-Five enthusiast for 50 years. I sure enjoy owning my 57 210 Time Capsule, great video Brother. 🫵🏼💯🆒
Turned out good.. are those 20in Americans or 22s ??
Why 1 3/4 cut for front springs??- I normally dismount them n cut either 1 full coil or 2 at most
Because that is what has worked for us
@@gordonsmart where you located at
@@gordonsmart I all so got a 90 Suburban like to get dropped
@@TimothyLaster-hv8re concord NC
@gordonsmart Cool would been great if you were closer to MS tho I would get you to do my 90' Suburban man. U did a great 👍 job yo on that 90' Suburban u did & had it looking good low-riding
Thanks for all the good info..how high does the cab sit off the chasi..? and did you use S-10 rubber mounts..? Or is it solid mount..?
You are doing a great job my friend.
Nice truck! I am always surprised when they clean up that good.
