The piano does have a "distant" sound to it; the resonance is stunning. Violinist is "in tune" with the haze and atmosphere of impressionism with flecks of romanticism, at times, thrown in for good measure. :)

She should learn the rythms from Felix Ajo performance with Marco Grisanti. This performance is without esprit, monotonous!

There's a wonderful recording with violins Pina Carmirelli...she is almost inaudible sometimes which has the effect of making one listen all the more...no forcing of the sound or over exaggerating the dynamic range...just floating sound...

You eventually get to the correct tempo in the first mvt...but it really does start out too fast... nonetheless good...a little too much vibrato in the violins...too competitive...just let the music tell its own story and unfold in it's own time... otherwise it sounds "oversold"...and that implies that one does not actually believe in it...
