I have a 95 kodiac 400, i have changed the front brakes shoes and cylinders, ihave also changed the master cylinder, i have bled and bled the brakes stsrting with the left side over and over, got pure fluid no air left in the system at bleeders, Butthe shoes will not move any at all and the brake handel has very little resistance, i have not put the brake drums back on. What in the blue perfect hell is my problem

I think you've got the gasket upside down. I found it works well if you put the gasket in the airbox first, then push the air filter into place. Works great on my Big Bear.

by any chance, dose the seal inside of the master cylinder stay put i’m having a issue where mine keeps dropping and i’ve noticed the seal in the master keep moving the second i pump my brakes and it dose not fit in the hole that’s already there should it fit ?

Shoulda used the rest of that wipe on your fenders.

My 95 kodiak has no dash lights at all when key is on and no click or start or crank when pushing start button. only starts with pull start.

I just had the same issue with a 2004 Sportsman 90.This line was actually melted and busted off. Who knows how long it was that way. I was looking to take the flywheel off and go into it that way, but I had some hospital tools and held it and replaced it with some yellow line so I can actually see. The pump is probably also on its way out. The line had spots of oil, so I had them to keep mixing their fuel so that can actually remove the oil tank from the equation.

I'm here now for my confession. After I let a kid start up my Kodiak for fun, it later refused to start. I checked everything - connections, switches, fuses, battery, grounds, relay, even regulator. NO LUCK. Then I sat on the quad and tried to remember what he might have done while sitting on it. Then I discovered a very small button I NEVER KNEW EXISTED under the starter switch - the engine kill switch. So after replacing the solenoid and almost submitting to a mechanic for help, I found the problem. The kid had hit that button by accident I never knew it. I told my wife I had finally found a loose plastic wire connector, so we'll leave it at that.

So we have a 1999 kodiak changed out starter silenod key switch and start button and nothing no clicks no starts acts as if no power to the key switch or the run on off start button . Could it be just a dead battery or possibly something else ? All the fuses are good cables exct checked alot of stuff so far everything checked out good so would it be just a bad battery?

I went through the exact same thing. Very hard to get on.

I'm currently in the process of fixing up an old yamaha. Big problem was the cdi but it seems to need every little thing. I picked up 3/8" "marine/automotive" weather stripping for the air filter gasket. It worked great and ive got plenty left over for other things. Previous owners' ratted up the wiring pretty bad. They threw all the ignition parts at it, breaking bolts in the process. Five mins with a meter would have shown a dead short on the ignition output of the CDI. It definitely took me longer than five mins to know that...

Lol, I need to go back and look at mine again. I think I actually used it on the back side to push the filter in because I couldnt get it to fit. Wondering if you took the gasket and two pieces of wood or plastic to a vise for a day or two if you could compress it a little. Those aftermarket filters you had are actually too tight for the basket and split at the seam. Thanks for posting the part number. I think its actually less expensive than the aftermarket one...

Thanks for your help. My 400 stopped starting with the switch and only would start with a few pulls. Got a new solenoid and still did not start. Just about to order a new starter when I come upon your video. Going to get a new switch first as I too have been having trouble with the high beems not being as bright as they used to be.
