Once we have a seat at the United Nations is one aspect. We need a political push either to not vote in any United States presidency as a whole all nations all tribes. Another aspect. To honor the treaties to go back to some of the old councils but another thing is to get out tribal corruption. As a people we need to keep educating the masses. Just some of my thoughts on it. Seven generation concept as well.

I think the same thing, when I entered tribal college I realized that treaties were mostly one sided and throughout the decades these acts by congress denounced our sovereign status and also gave us dependent status. And from what I heard it was native women who led the day break star event.

CORRECTION: I am not an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. I am a descendant of the Eastern Band, to the best of my estimation. I am working with professional genealogists to trace my heritage beyond the 1910 census supplemental questions for Indians, which show both of my paternal great grandparents as Cherokee, and lists both of each of their parents as Cherokee. I have asked Daybreak Star Radio to make this correction on their website and title of the interview.
