I have this weird way of thinking... Once I'm finished a poem and satisfied with it, I always leave it alone. They are like flashes in time for me. Polaroids of words. I can look back and say "I was happy with this." It puts things in perspective as far as my growth as a writer. ✍📸

Great one fellas, several of yours would have been in my top 10. But the one that I always talk to my Creativity Coaching Clients/Interns and fellow artists, is similar to Dante's one about taking every project. But I say to them, to do lots of charity work, it builds connections, gets your work out in front of people that may never see your work or have a need. And then you get referrals from unlikely sources. Keep it going! I am finally getting caught up on these. I was so far behind.

Yes, the connections or chances we take gives us future opportunities we don't know about.

Another great one guys! Here are my Top 3 ways to stay inspired: 1. Take risks by breaking free from my comfort zones and stay curious. Where can the risk or curiosity take me? It stimulates my brain waves. 2. Watching other creatives in their studios, how it's set up, whether it is a recording studio, a painting studio, a ceramic studio, a film editing booth, graphic or house designer's work space, environments inspire me, including what they put on their walls to inspire them. 3. Music and walks, I couldn't live without music, and love watching music videos. And Bonus #4, Anything TED talks, or what I call, incredible everyday journeys or stories. And what "humans" inspire me: 1. Madonna, she has a don't F*** with me attitude towards always trying something new and pushing herself as an artist, huge respect for not sitting back and just living off of Vogue royalties. Her willingness to push her videos which most become mini films, and create music that makes people go "What the F*** is that, or she is too old to do that, or she is washed up, but again she continues to push her comfort zones and keep her curiosity. 2. Jason Silva, what a thought pusher and inspirational speaker. After watching one of his videos, I will be stuck in my spasm of thought for days... Here is one of his videos. th-cam.com/video/tYbA_-mAtUY/w-d-xo.html 3. My friend Jeremy Gutsche, He is all about Trendhunting and Innovation...Incredible Speaker, motivator and thought provoker...Here is one of his videos: th-cam.com/video/DZ11M24nNIo/w-d-xo.html Bonus: Simon Sinek, incredible thought provocative speaker for leaders (I say leaders, but we all are our own leaders of our universes). One of his videos explaining the "why": th-cam.com/video/u4ZoJKF_VuA/w-d-xo.html&start_radio=1&rv=u4ZoJKF_VuA&t=28 Keep these coming you all are inspiring me...

I’ll have to take a look at those people! I love listening to music to get inspiration… if you get the right song at the right time and it hits that emotional chord it can spark something amazing!

Haters are motivators for me and a complete waste of my time. Give no brain space to those idiots. Especially zombots behind a keyboard. Let them say that shit to my face, and then I'll respect or listen to what they have to say. Interesting topic. Would love to see you two do one about the essence and origin of your creativity, and is it inherited?, part of your personality?, is it learned (not the skill but the passion to do it)?...Keep it up. Love these, gets my own creativity juices flowing, and talking back at the screen either agreeing with you or that I don't agree with that...But my brain is firing on all pistons...

I teach my creativity coaching clients that the balance is about curiosity, being content in your own self perceived comfort zone is not a punishment, it is a safe space that most people need. I always suggest that you stay there and feel safe when needed, But when you allow yourself to get curious about what else you are capable of creating/being, you should explore those things even if you suck at it. And if someone says it sucks, to learn to not give a shit. Remembering that you will never get everyone to like your art...whatever medium it is. Loving these videos, they are making my think...

The idea of curiosity is an interesting idea... and the connection to creativity... got me thinking!
