Those people who open in public compete mostly on price and that's why most shout prices to attract crowds.It's not wrong but it's not the best approach if you want to maximise on profits.I highly discourage beginners to do that because you don't get the most out of it in terms of profit especially if it's a grade 1 bale. Unless you want to just compete on price. Opening & pricing in private allows you to assess and price each piece correctly, reflecting its true value.Choose your model wisely. Do you want to compete on price or quality? Are you selling a grade 1 bale or grade 2/3?

The Price you settle on highly depends on value you are giving your customers + you need to have a good understanding of your target audience
