Panel: Getting to Net Zero | Keefe Harrison, Signe Kongebro, Steven Pedigo, Colleen Litkenhaus Tague
Cities around the world are making commitments to cleaner, more resilient and regenerative communities. That means taking a hard look at waste-from food waste to construction, from water to plastics, etc. Cities that effectively reduce waste can cut emissions by upwards of 20%.
Don't miss this deep discussion with plenty of actionable ideas from this all-star panel.

Keefe Harrison is a founder and the CEO of The Recycling Partnership, a national nonprofit dedicated to protecting the planet by fixing recycling and activating a circular economy in the U.S. An international speaker, media pundit, and environmental author, Keefe is a 22-year veteran of the space, dedicated to engaging companies in making measurable, lasting change. Under her leadership, The Partnership has grown significantly since its founding in 2014 and has transformed $95 million of investment from over 80 funding partners into $241 million in value creation, reaching over one million households and diverting over 770 million incremental pounds of recyclables from landfills. Before recycling, Keefe worked on a logging crew in North Carolina, researched sea turtles in Costa Rica, and studied reindeer husbandry in Finland.

We should listen... we should have listened to climate experts instead too many were cancelled and driven from academia, doxed, and attacked for their decades of commitment to science. so 80% (6.1 billion) earthlings are building coal, oil, and gas infrastructure as fast as they can. You are holding a rubber ducky between the 4 of you and standing in the path of a massive tsunami.

So once the 15 min district is set up, and I want to open a business there but all the “certified” business types are filled...no more space for me, where do I set up? And if a business fails,it would need to be replaced by exactly the same business type...that just failed! If I live in one district but work in another, is that allowed or will I need to move? This will be an absolute nightmare if it happens. It’s like Communism/Socialism/Maoism/Marxism, sounds like a great idea, but in practice it just can’t work without oppression and the elimination of freedom and liberty. Count me out! And please stop with the “zero carbon” bulls#@t, 80% of earthlings (6.1 billion people) are actively building coal, oil and gas infrastructure your plan will only result in punishing citizens and limiting their freedoms with no upside.

He mentions density, does that mean the only way they will be able to fit the big populations into these 15min neighbourhoods is to cram people into high rise Towers so they will no longer ever own a family home. After all the urban sprawl means they can't cope with the number of people they have now. They can't even build more hospitals which most cities need. They wont be wanting to spend money on more hospitals in 15min.cities either. That's just a carrot to.make people agree. When the politicians won't spend the money on these things now Will the government and globalist corporations own all these new rental high Rises. Most overlords like these CORPORATION Oligarchs and Politicians aren't worried about us they are worried about the money and their own lifestyles, and how much they can get away with taking and becoming more wealthy. The world Corporations and central Bankers don't like strong leaders who might actually hold them to account for destroying our banking system and prosperity.. Instead they want to bring in 15min cities to control us. They want to have total Digital control of our Bank Accts. Those new Digital IDs they are trying so hard to convert cash over to. Are in fact Identical to CITIZEN CONTROL APPS they use against the people in CHINA. The IDS will be able to allot you points for being a good citizen. and monitor those points. If the government takes away your Approval points and the ID'S have the computerized capability to shut down your access to your Bank ACCT when you try to pay for your items at the checkouts, that gives these world DAVOS, WEF lot, in bed with the politicians, total control of our lives if we dare to question them. Care to have your 6th COVID BOOSTER for the year? If you don't your DIGITAL ID will block your ACCESS to your BANK ACCT that's what they want. Knowing that's what they are implementing behind the scenes why would you trust them not to control your whole movements in a 15min city. When OLIGARCHS go too far impoverishing the people. They know the people will rise up and fight back. They fear that and the population masses. They've once again bankrupted the Banks, they are only hiding it by printing billions of dollars, which causes ever spiralling inflation. They know there's a showdown coming with the people, and they aren't going to admit their criminality or lose their wealth. Instead they are working desperately to keep the people of the world under digital control. Don't give up cash, it's the peoples freedom. Without an Approved score on your DIGITAL ID You won't be able to get a bank loan Buy a house Rent a house Get a job, Book holidays without having an approved score on your DIGITAL ID BUY Petrol. These people are well aware of the control they will have with computerised DIGITAL IDs. Locking people down in totally surveyed neighbourhoods probably using not only cameras but drones to make sure they know where you are at all times. Don't fall for the carrot. Them saying how lovely it will be with leafy trees and amenities. A beautiful cage is still a cage. They might say you can leave the 15min cities 100times in the beginning. There is a way to guarantee that you’ll be more than 15 minutes away from everything you need: pathological urban sprawl. Exclusively residential zoning separated by a half-hour drive away from commercial zoning and industrial zoning. And don’t bother with public transport, no buses or trains. That way no matter what your needs you will have to drive a minimum of a half-hour. Or, just maybe, put away the fear & loathing and imagine mixed zoning. Not even particularly high density. Imagine two or three story buildings where one or two lower floors are commercial (retail & offices) and remaining floors are residential. Can anyone guarantee that everything you might need is always 15 minutes or less away? No, no one can. But most things will likely be a 15-minute walk away. School, groceries, doctors, work, leisure, parks.

READ THEIR 15 min city Rules first!! They implied that "all you need is 15 minutes away, as if they know what you need," if you read between the lines. This sentence can be changed to with. If it's not 15 minutes, you no longer need it because WE decided that you will only be able to access a certain number of alternatives and nothing else. Don't forget that all of your rights will be subject to limitations. The term "15 min." denotes a maximum time limit of 15 minutes during which you must remain inside the doors. You would only be permitted to drive your automobile 25 times a year and would require a permission if you wanted to travel beyond the city.
