WOW! Those son's did right, and they were brought up right. I would cry too, in 1964, I once owned a 1959 Impala Sport Coup. 348 with 335 horse and 4 speed. If only I could have it back. I'm 80 now, and the 60's were the best times of my life, just love those Chevys.
That's America!
What a great story! A Dad who puts his family first and sells his beloved SS Impala. No whining or resentment. Just a MAN doing the right thing. His boys understood, probably through many selfless acts other than this one, how much Dad cared for them. Giving back this beautiful SS Impala, the ACTUAL car, to their Dad says a lot about these boys, but even more about their Dad. Wiping tears from my eyes. What a wonderful family.
My dad’s 68 is a 396. Love that thing.
Its Really Sad they dont make em like that anymore, What's even sadder is, Chevy is 50% owned by China😑
And today-with the exception of the corvette (now that they cancelled the Camaro)Chevy’s shelves are bare. Thanks to government kill joys who’ve regulated away now old fashioned-car culture.
Today is June 23, 2024, I'm an old guy now...but I'm blessed, I've been with my Beautiful Wife for 40 years and have 3 Chevys, 2009 C6, '04 Silverado and a 1968 C10...I have health issues now but maybe things will get better...Don't tell anybody, a did shed a tear.
I grew up in the back seat of a 65 impala convertible
I get goosebumps every time I watch this. Only a true lover of cars would understand.
still looking for my dads stolen 68 impala SS.
🧿❤💙🚗🚙❣🦋🧿
American cars have really took a turn.. Japanese cars are much higher quality now
That's one big life sized 'HO' scale Aurora T-Jet.
They retired broke. Another example of pissing your money away on a car.
Wherever this family is today, I’d like them to know that I still watch this video and tear up every time.
One of the reasons why I love seeing old cars is that it reminds me of the time period in which it was made. Those were cleaner, simpler times. Was touching seeing dad's expression.
What a great.story and I enjoyed this so much. Thanks for sharing
I think you mean vortex engine!!
Family, that car helped build those strong family ties.♥️
Simply beautiful!
I thought his dad was going to have a heart attack when he saw his old car
The fact that he said "They changed the mufflers" shows how attached he is to that car. It's like hearing your child's voice through a loud crowd.
I drive a 1996 Chevy Caprice. She is my Baby Girl. I will love her until I die. The cars of old have a spirit. You feel it everytime you get in. Love this story.
🥰
A couple days ago I just bought a 92 blazer and all the memories just flooded me when I got in it. My older half brothers’ step dad had a 93 gmc RCSB they drove. It was a 5 speed and 4x4. Just sitting behind the wheel of my blazer I instantly go back to my childhood. You just don’t get the same connection with newer cars. I never want anything new. I traded it for a 2010 escape with way less problems than this blazer and I still don’t regret it one bit.
I wish I could find my Old 72 Z28 white and black with a Rallysport Front End that I had back in Indiana!
Chevy hits this one out of the ballpark. Well done Chevrolet!!
What online search did he do? What website is it?
Boy, this made me cry. Great vedio Chevrolet.
Sadly, Chevy died a long time ago. So did Ford, and so did Mopar. They all became appliance companies. I have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2 door hardtop. I did not buy it new, but I did buy it almost 30 years ago. It has a performance built carbureted small block, a 4 speed manual transmission, dual exhausts, glasspack mufflers, 15" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, and tuck and roll vinyl upholstery. All period correct 1960s/early 1970s modifications. When I was a teenager, around 1973, a guy that ran the local hardware store had one just like it, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I told myself that someday I would have one. That someday finally came. Unfortunately, unlike that guy back in the early '70s, I can't just go out and drive it around like a normal car. It is now far too valuable. Not just monetarily, but there are not that many really nice ones left, and there will never be any more. I can't afford to get one destroyed. I take it out for leisurely drives on Sunday mornings when there is very little traffic on the road.
I cry watching this. Cars are so much more than just transportation and metal. I was blessed to have my 2009 Mustang reappear in my life after 11 years. It’s not going anywhere this time.
I don't think anybody will be looking for the cars they are building now. They are just transportation. Nothing really here to cherish.
Beautiful story. What a happy moment in his life to see his Chevy again. My dad had the very same make and model, and year. It was midnight blue with white leather interior. Back in those days there was a sense of pride in ownership. Cars back then had their own identity. So different from each other. They had character. You could identify each make and model as they rolled down the street. Not so anymore. They all look like they come off the same assembly line. Hard to identify until you see the badge. Shame. Love the video. Brought back memories of my own. At least I had a chance to drive dad's car when I got my license. Oh, the rumble! Now kids put on those fart mufflers. 🙄😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It's incredible how you can get so attached to an inanimate object but I seem to have a knack for it. I have 2 vehicles that I have had for over 30 years and I will most likely have them until I die. They both just happen to be a 64 C30 tow truck and a 1978 Malibu. God Bless all us motoheads.
My Dad would have said, you paid what to get this back?
My dad was a Chevy guy, but didn't hesitate to give his Mopar love either. This inspired me to go find his old Charger..
More than a car, it brings back memories and feeling , so very true. Chevy runs deep.
Got a ford ad lol they think im buying that engineering nightmare theyre damn wrong i wanna own something thatll get me home aka chevy
Elon Musk's phone chargers will NEVER evoke this kind of emotion in anybody.
1966, I was 13 years old, and everything was beautiful. Mom and Dad traded their 1957 Bel Air, for a 1965 Caprice 😅. We went from Texas to California, visited family. Fantastic trip, Dad fell asleep, Mom went FAST! Dad woke up for gas stops. People asked "what engine do you have in that Chevy?" Dad looked at Mom, Mom Shrugged her shoulders. 😮
👍😁
I dont know when this was made my vette makes me cry whenever I gotta by a special part lol like my ol caddy😂
I‘m in tears every time watching this.
I know this is 10 years old and probably nobody even read this comment but it's a great literally brought tears to my eyes
If only they still made em like this
Woah! Nice!
Like a rock.
Misss my dads 78 z28 camaro still to this day haven’t found it yet
Sweet and kool
