Campos dos Goytacazes is a large city in the northern part of the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. It is the second most populous city in the state, with an estimated population of over 500,000 people. The city is located on the banks of the Goytacazes River, about 280 kilometers from Rio de Janeiro City.
Campos dos Goytacazes was founded in 1677 by Portuguese settlers. The city was named after the Goytacazes Indians, who originally inhabited the area. The city's economy is based on agriculture, industry, and commerce. Campos dos Goytacazes is a major producer of sugar cane, rice, and coffee. The city is also home to a number of industries, including oil and gas, textiles, and food processing.
Campos dos Goytacazes is a popular tourist destination. The city has a number of historical attractions, including the São Sebastião Cathedral, which was built in the 18th century, and the Campos dos Goytacazes Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts about the city's history. The city is also home to a number of beaches, including Praia do Farol de São Tomé, Praia do Açu, and Praia do Peró.

Because "cadê" means "where". It is for daily conversation. - Cadê você? (Where are you?) - Cadê a minha blusa? (Where's my shirt?)
