Lyles not even ran faster than yohan Blake yet so how did he almost match bolt record?.. lyles has talent he is quick. But but if he can work on running records fine but he is not getting closer his fastest time is about a year ago..
Bolt use to jog the times their running now. Anything from 9.90 - 9.82 was jogging speed for Bolt. When they can do that, they'll have a chance.
Wouldnt say jog now but he did slow up near the last 25 metres usually to save energy

His 200m actually is breakable, 19.19 in bolt's standards is "slow" he had potential to run closer to 19 flat.. 100m record on the other hand will stand for 50 years atleast i would say

No one will break bolts record from the current crop. Blake had the potential but had injuries. Lyles is 26 and ain't gonna get much better. The 100m, none from the current crop can even run sub 9.7 do sub 9.6 aont gonna happen
Finally someone said the truth. Lyles PB is 9.83 and it's not even sub 9.8! Such times were considered great some 20 years ago! We have interregnum times in a dash now.

A lot of persons keep forgetting that Usain Bolt set this record after running qualifying rounds and finals in the 100m then did the likewise in the 200m at the same championship event.

All records are meant to be broken, doubt no man that God have placed on this earth made. I'm from Jamaica but with each decades men are being push to the limit and this have been proven.

Usain Bolt had the potential to run far faster than 19.19, but he didn't do it. It's one thing to have the potential, and another to have the mental fortitude, the right conditions, be in the right shape at the right time, on the right track, to break the record. The record is breakable, but that takes consistency on a scale on Lyles has been able to show and a sprinkle of luck. I think Lyles has the potential to do it, but I'd give it less than 50/50 odds during his career, and almost no chance he does it in the champs.
Lyles won't break that...19.3 that's his speed, not 19.1.. at 26, he has now reached his peak turnover speed. He is not and will never be faster than Usain Bolt. Lyles is awesome, but bolt is faster, bolt was beating blake, gay, gatlin and powell for most of thier careers who are the fastest men in history..

Well Yohan Blake has ran a 200m that is only 7 miliseconds behind the record, but so yea, lyles has only ran 19.31 which is insanely fast, but still not fast or even really that close to being at Usain Level

So what your saying is 19.31 has been attained from a man and is the closest to Usains 19.19. I believe Usain knocked 1 / 10th of his previous world record to make the historical 19.19. My thoughts on the matter are this, ok it's alarming guys are getting sub 19.50 but something tells me Usains record will remain easily for another 10 years if not forever. I have watched this 200m video several dozen times. I believe the running gods changed his 19.20 seiko error to 19.19 soon as I heard the commentator say folks it's not 19.20 it's actually 19.19 I said to myself that number will carve its way through generations.
You think so? Bolt did go from 19.30 to 19.19 and that was with a headwind. If Lyles has the perfect conditions, I think he can do it! Also, I believe he hasn’t been showing everything in his TH-cam videos, he is saving a surprise for everyone at Budapest, he may shock the world

@@MrPanggs looking at the 19.19s record, Lyles or any other would realy need to be in perfect shape, plus ideal wind conditions plus tough competition around. 19.19 was done on 200m final, which implies fatigue from the heats. Its going interesting to see what happens but according to me, Noa will not break it. Maybe Erriyon in the next few years if he has not peaked already
@@gautheny exactly. Bolt broke the record for both the 100 and the 200 after many rounds. I wonder if the 5 rounds Lyles runs before the 200 final will leave room for the young hungry guys to strike. But I agree. Before Lyles went 19.31 last year, I said that 2024 would be the year where Knighton would start to really give Lyles a run for his money
@@MrPanggs Yes, after many rounds. But the first rounds he could just run relaxed and not give it all. And he ran both his world records during a championship where there were qualifying rounds. His best form was at that event. And it didn't seem to fatigue him! And nowadays, they don't even run the 1/8-final heats. These are some "qualifiers" nowadays. So only a maximum of 3 rounds (if you count the semi-final and final as "rounds" too). Then there is also the matter of the shoes, IF they make a difference even in the sprints. For Warholm it did in the 400 m hurdles. He could make use of the absolute stiffest pair of the "new" shoes. I think they was a Long/Triple/High jump going on at the same time, crows usually clap in rhythm (if the jumpers ask them to). Usually if the Gun official for the 100m race sees this going on, he will delay the gun from going off, to allow the athletes to have full concentration. As the crowd noise can distract the runners. That’s why there was a delay until the crowd was silent
How does this announcer not state Knighton won Bronze at the World's just after graduating high school?

@@OlympicSeason I would agree but definititely seems more appropriate to shout out the youngest sprinter to win an Olympic medal in history is Florida born and raised too....so still seems odd to place a non USA professional sprinter that hasn't won a medal over a professional USA sprinter from the state and country he reps....
