In response to this latest incident, effective immediately, gun stores across the state of Virginia will band together by placing signs in their windows that read: _O P E N_ 🤔 About _Ten Thousand Kids EACH AND EVERY DAY_ continue to become old enough to legally purchase a gun in these United States of America. Ten Thousand EVERY DAY! And what's the difference between a _GOOD GUY WITH A GUN_ and a _BAD GUY WITH THAT SAME GUN?_ Often, it's just a lost job, or a broken relationship, or a sad, lonely, depressing holiday. Since it is suspected that at some time, up to 50% of these kids do indeed have some form of diagnosable mental illness, why do we sell guns to 100% of them?! - j q t -

God bless our police. They never know each time they put on the uniform whether they will be required to give CPR to a citizen down from heart failure, or walk the grass near a road accident looking for bodies or body parts, or answering a call to help a rape victim, or child abduction. And then, they have to be ready to switch gears from chest compressions to using a rifle to end someone's murder spree. The greatest danger I face is a paper cut from the stacks of drawings I do, or a broken string on my fiddle smacking my nose.

I was born raised in Winchester Virginia graduated from Jameswood high school, and most of my families buried over there on 522 next to Patsy Cline but now I live in Springfield Missouri and have a daughter always missed my hometown. Which I would never put out the picture to come back and retire and raise a family and be happy Winchester Virginia is amazing and beautiful.

For total transparency and accountability please post a list of all officer involved shootings, beatings, abuse, false arrests, drunk driving by your officers, and family violence by your officers including sexual assault and abuse, any pending, sustained, dismissed, charged, terminated, resigned, convictions, probation, internal affairs reviews and how many of your officers have been convicted are serving parole or probation are convicted felons and still work in your department. That would help us make an informed decision about transparency and accountability thanks have a great day. Its real strange ive askes for this info from many departments around 20 and none seem to be willing or capable of transparency and accountability im hoping the peoples luck will change soon. After all all we are asking for is PUBLIC INFO we are entitled to.

The female officer (Unit 45) is an IDIOT by pulling right in front of the apartment complex. The officer stated that he was armed with a RIFLE and it was dispatched as such. So much for her police training for putting herself and others at risk. Great shooting and tactical positioning to end the threat.

This is a superb idea. Should have been done years ago. I was a vol emt/ff for 24 years. Some of that time i served in the city of winchester. I know first hand experience some times law enforcement arrives on scene before fire and rescue. They can start ems care right away. Possibly assess and stabalize the patient.
