How to make Cajun Boudin
This our recipe for making Cajun Boudin! Boudin is a household favorite here at our house, my college freshman daughter requested our homemade boudin for her birthday dinner! There are lots of variations of ingredients from pork to gator to crawfish, but the base is pretty much the same. We like it a little spicy so adjust the seasonings to your liking! I’m not a Cajun, I’m Georgia born and bred, but I think the Good Lord must’ve considered putting me in Acadiana! I love Cajun culture and especially the food!

      @@zzz7zzz9 In my opinion, if you do your scouting, find good sign, set up on travel routes, identify historical good buck sign, basically do your homework, and set up in a good area, the waiting part becomes hunting. I agree that putting out food is exploiting a deer's need to feed, but so is hunting over a food plot, corn field or a big white oak flat loaded with acorns. Granted, I live in Georgia, so I did not scout this deer. But I scout here at home and hang stands accordingly. It is the most efficient way to hunt whitetails here. Don't get me wrong, I get what you are saying, but I for one am for supporting hunting, in any form, as long as it is within the laws. As outdoor enthusiasts I think we gotta stick together, there are enough of the antis trying to bring us down and end our way of life. @@smokyoakbbqco2385 yeah I have actually. Many times. And guess what. The deer there are no different than they are to the south. Just a bit bigger and colder. Baiting a deer is just plain lazy. It’s not hunting. It’s just shooting a warm target. And nothing to be proud off. As for the wolves what do you expect? You made a kill zone for them too. I stand by my earlier statement. If all you want to do is kill something go shoot a cow. You’ll get more meat and just as much satisfaction.

      @@blaws6684 only it is legal, and you are hunting 50,000 acres of public land. So I guess when you went you didn't hunt over bait? The thing I don't get about the pro baiting/anti baiting thing is, the guys that are against baiting will plant a food plot and sit on the edge of it, or set up on a whiteoak flat and wait for deer to come feed on acorns. It's all exploiting a deer's need to feed, either way you look at it. Hunt over bait, food plot, acorns, anything, you still can't make them come. I am for hunting, period, as long as it is within the law.

    • @blaws6684
      @blaws6684 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smokyoakbbqco2385 I agree with you there. The plotters say theirs is not portable. The baiters argue it’s more permanent. Just as high fencers justify their mode and method All any of them does is condition the deer into dependent programmable feeding. It takes any need for hunting skill off the table entirely. The idea that you have to bait deer north of some imaginary zone is nonsense. Another excuse. In fact. The whitetail population density in sask is nearly identical to the Adirondack region. The carrying capacity is pretty much the same per 100 acres also. The only real difference in any deer range is human density to which deer adapt.(to the point of urban intrusion.). I guess it’s just another sign of the times. People dream of winning on a $1 bet rather than landing a dream job.

I was proud of my buck because I worked hard to afford to go on the trip, the trip of a lifetime for most, sat a lot of long hours in cold weather to get a chance at a big buck. We were hunting Crown land, which as you know is public land, no fences, just a LOT of bush country. So much area it's hard to imagine that much nothingness, just forest for miles and miles. There WAS a bait at the stand, but my buck was after the "ultimate bait", the little Miss, if you know what I mean. It was within the law, and I don't feel like it was shooting a cow in a pasture. If it is, I need a pasture closer to home with warmer weather and not such a long ATV ride, lol! Anyway, I appreciate you watching and giving your input.
