december couldnt come fast enough im going to be the best sevret santa ive ..... ever had lol
you forgot to mention the HORIZONTAL luggage strap... just saying ^.^
Yeah~ this one has a bit of "grown man struggling to push a button" commercial energy, the idea still stands tho. Plenty of ease of access in this bag
"young man struggling to find his phone" 😂
Is it still the plan to do a Fyro Sling bag next? Because if that’s the case, I'm very interested in backing it. And I have plenty of input (So many companies get it almost right, but not quite!)
We will be announcing our next product soon AND we'll be building it in public again with the help of our community. Be on the lookout!
Put your phone in your pocket - wtf 😂
also an option!
So I get all of the steps you listed here, with the exception of the fulfillment process centers. Like if I order a product that just launched from a company like Patagonia or The North Face, would said product be shipped from the factory in bulk to that company’s regional retailers? In the states for example Huckberry would get X amount and REI would get an X amount and how ever many others? Where I would assume a company like Evergoods the product would ship in bulk to them for US distribution and suburban for Asian distribution, Rushfaster for Australian distribution, and I cant remember the stockists for there European markets is at the moment. Then for your brand Fyro I have no idea how that would work. The only thing I can imagine is like how the big brands use retailers as their distro, that you would have to work out contracts with a warehouse where you either pay them a lump sum or a percentage of each sale and they agree to store your product, and then when you got an order that is in the same region as said warehouse and the payment was processed on the Frys site it then gets sent to that warehouse and they ship it out ? Meanwhile the same thing is going on at different warehouses all over the world? Or maybe the distro company has warehouses all over so you are only working with one distro, that seems like the best scenario. I am probably not even close, but it was fun to try… lol
good try! haha. We'll eventually look into partnering up with retailers but for now our focus is on D2C via eCommerce
Super interesting, details well reviewed and manufactured. Your first and second backpacks are Part of a big narrative, as always! How to find the better Space for the nomad Nation on their way to their happyness? And I love you Color, Choice, Cooper, Gold, decent. What can I Say more? - Already ordered, man! Just waiting!
Awesome, thank you so much!!
Did the bag do as well in your real life travel experience? 😊
very well! I'm traveling with it right now for one month through the US (it's my only bag)
☁️ like comfort 👍 You compare it to AER harness systems
so important
Congratulations on reaching this milestone and Godspeed mate! 👏
thanks so much!!
Glad you made your dream of making your bag come to life. It isn't a design for me, but I will always appreciate passion and dedication to turning an idea into something other people can enjoy! Great job!!!
thank you so much!!
Congratulation Aaron! I'm so happy to see Fyro succeed, and I can't wait to see what happens going forward! I'm here from your email, and you invited me to ask a question, so I'm gunna shoot my shot... I'm someone who was in the camp that really liked the bronze looking emblem over the black one... If you have any spares leftover from samples, is there any way I could order my Fyro with the bronze on it? If not, no big deal, but if so, it would be like Christmas for me... I can provide a backer number, confirmation number, pay extra, or do what I gotta do... Please and Thank you!
thanks so much mate! And I totally get where you are coming from with the bronze version, but unfortunately it's actually quite complicated to make this happen. Plus if I did it for you I'd have to offer it to everyone, which is borderline impossible unfortunately with our logistics at the moment. Again, apologies for this but we do thank you for your understanding.
@@Fyro_official Aww... Worth a shot, but understood... Thanks Aaron!
Awesome! This also means, for those for whom it matters, that folding canes for BVI individuals will fit securely! And with two Hydrolocks, can carry *both* a cane and water bottle! Sweet!
I've been watching you guys for awhile and i cant express how excited I am to be apart of this journey with yall! By far the transparency you provide is unmatched by any other brand and that will always be something I value! Keep up the good work and im so glad to see the Fyro dream comming true! 💪
Thanks so much for your support mate!
I loved following the journey of getting the prototype made. This next part will be just as exciting too. Can’t wait
Thanks so much for following our journey!
Nice job Aaron. What is next? Sling, Vertical Crossbody??????
right now our #1 priority is making sure the T22 is made with the highest possible quality in the fastest amount of time. But outside of that we are planning our next products, big announcements coming soon ;)
It's a cool summary and process. Thanks for outlining for those of us who've never been involved in manufacturing and fulfillment operations to this degree. I think understanding so well what went into the design, staging and production will enable at least me to appreciate it more once I ultimately get the pack in hand.
That's our goal! To be transparent, to educate, and to give you the option to follow the journey of your T22 as it makes it's way to you :)
Nice, Aaron. You said you've partnered with experience like fulfillment places etc. Did the folks in Vietnam help with that, did you ask other bag companies who those people were? I'd be interested because I'd have no clue how to find that type of business, much less knowing if they're actually great at what they do. Also, first time through a process, no worries, stuff happens. We've all had the experience of buying something and it's delayed or cancelled with zero communication about it and that's the worst. You're obviously at the other end of that spectrum and it's appreciated.
Thanks so much! And yes, our partners in Vietnam helped and I also hired an experienced consultant (and good friend) to help me find the best shipping options. I too would have no idea, so I've always learned the best thing to do is work with people who DO know
Are you really sure packing cubes aren’t made of metal? Like, really, really sure? I had never realized that! 😉😅🫶
😉
Also also also the building a back pack saga continues god damn the fyro team are cooking !!!
🔥 🔥
Also also uuuh did you mention the backers get a different fyro logo then from the later retailed ones ?
as a thank you for your belief in us, all backers will get a 'Founder's Edition' version of the bag which will have a unique stamp on the inside. We are solidifying it now, it looks super cool!
@@Fyro_official LET THEM COOK
I just saw the email I had to re watch the video CAUSE IM SO FUCKING EXCITED the vault shall be mine >:)
I'm traveling to New York right now and have stored back up credit cards and cash in The Vault - it's such a great compartment for some extra piece of mind :)
Thank you for including the whole community in this journey. I have backed over 40 products on Kickstarter for several years, and this is the first one that shows true transparency. I wish more companies followed your model.
so awesome to hear! Transparency is the name of the game for us and we can't wait to continue taking you on this journey with us :)
Really excited to hear you will take us along for the rest of the journey - I don’t think I would ever do this myself, but I am fascinated by others who are brave enough to do it! I hope you continue to keep us involved / informed as you setup your permanent supply chain / website / etc. post-KS deliveries. So cool!
Thanks Lance, and yup! That's our goal! It's so much fun bringing everyone along for the journey and we plan to make this radical transparency a staple of the Fyro brand moving forward :)
Congratulations. My big question is, when will I get mine? When will I be charged for the bag?
man they charge it already check your bank
Thanks so much! Backers should have been charged a few days ago, and we aim for bags to arrive in time for the new year 💪
@@Fyro_official Firstly, thank you for responding. So that’s what I will pay even if I was backer? I signed up on kickstarter and backed the project.
@@TheDrewMaican happy to help! I'm not 100% sure I understand your question though. Please reach out to me via email aaron@fyro.co and I can help you out there :)
Very well deserved!!!
thank you so much!
Absolutely amazing Aaron! It's been such a valuable learning opportunity following your journey, and I look forward to seeing what comes next ❤
thanks so much! its very rewarding to not only make epic products, but to also educate about the process the entire time :)
Very excited! Looking forward to a video of the backpack with all the improvements from the Kickstarter comments. I totally dig the magnet idea for the hatch zipper :)
Thanks for your feedback and support!!
Congratulations on making the dream a reality, wishing you much success!
Thank you so much!!
Looking forward to following the life cycle of my backpack 🥰
It’s gonna be EPIC 🔥
Congrats on the achievement at this stage Aaron 👏 Always excited to follow Fyro journey.
thanks so much Sophie! 🇻🇳
I am so looking forward to having you over here to film the production of the T22 Aaron! It's really is going to be the most awesome video on TH-cam about how a backpack is made. Seriously fired up!
Can’t wait Luke and Bagme team!!
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
Very excited to follow all the next steps!
We are excited to SHOW you the next steps. Big updates (and epic behind-the-scenes content) coming soon 💪
Shoulder straps look 💪
so comfy
Damn, that’s like before and after an all you can eat dinner 😂
exactly haha, that stomach can EXPAND!
Wet umbrellas belong outside the bag 👍
dry ones inside, wet ones outside 💪
Im like the bag, need two bottle water pouches that doesn't take from internal space(protein and hydration), room for two meal preps, pair of shoes change of clothes, towel, toiletries, and laptop. Really like the 'Stealth' look.
So awesome to hear you like the look and functionality of the pack! It definitely sounds like it's a perfect fit for your daily carry 💪
Thanks for this! Unfortunately my journal won’t fit in the hatch but it’s all gravy.
Glad it helped!
I regret not grabbing this during the day 1 deal. Looks like a nice bag. Congrats!
thanks so much! And you can still grab it on Kickstarter for a great deal ($239 for another week - full retail price will be $285)
would you consider to have some form of removeable hip belt attractment ?
great question! Unfortunately at this point we are too far along and there is nowhere to attach one. To have that included it would have needed to have been in the design since day 1. The good news though is that most people don't need a hip belt for a bag this size. But for a 30+ liter travel bag? All day!
@@Fyro_official hmmm what about thinking about nomatic backpack/travel 's approach of sewing a loop thingly so they can just clip on the hip belt. i'm just curious about the simple option . hmm another question is would there be great fatigue(straining shoulder etc ) if we carry the bag with a full load ( heavy laptop and other heavier tech gear) while walking for long distances . its my only concern xD since there isnt a hip belt , which i understand there wouldn't be one for a bag of this size.
@@polarbear619 there actually isn't much space to put even loops with the way we've designed the shoulder strap connection and the hidden back pockets. I can't say for sure how comfortable you will find the bag, but comfort was our #1 priority, so the well-padded shoulder straps, breathable back panel, and included magnetic sternum strap should hopefully get the job done for longer distances!
Dude, I am getting this bag. One For me and one for my daughter. For her work and she travels a lot. For me…I have the series 2 medium Knackpack. Love the EDC and the expandability for travel. But I hate the straps. It’s doable if it’s not really packed out but when it is the padding on the straps are to thin and digs in to the shoulders. I’ve seen a few others mention this. A reviewer on pack hacker mentioned it in her review. The straps on your backpack look almost Goruck like. That is Awesome. The T-22 checks all my backpack boxes and it’s going in my bag collection. I watched your videos on creating the bag and you nailed it first time out. Great job 👏🏾 👍🏾💯
Thanks so much for your support!! Comfort was literally my #1 priority with the T22. After reviewing hundreds of bags and responding to thousands of comments, I know that the quickest way someone will fall out of love with their backpack is when it's uncomfortable. Our shoulder straps are sort of a combo between Aer and GORUCK, but with the special touch of our development team Bagme, who has decades of experience making ultra-comfortable hiking bags. The result is truly so comfortable in my opinion, and I can't wait to hear if you think the same! - Aaron
What do you think about adding a patch?
I think patches look great on certain types of bags like outdoors-y/crossover bags (like Evergoods) and ESPECIALLY on tactical bags (like GORUCK). But when it comes to more work/urban bags, patches usually aren't used so that bags can have a cleaner/sleeker aesthetic. What do you think, would this bag look good with a patch?
@@Fyro_official Honestly not sure Aaron, I think the matte black thingy is enough because it looks sleeker, but I was thinking more of an OG founder patch type situation for the backers, before it hits retail. Or maybe like a simple tag within the bag that shows which production number it is sorta - if you get what I mean? Like some sort of hidden memorabilia part for the early backer - not necessary but just a suggestion.
@@SaltyMelonWank we are on the same page! If you check out the Kickstarter page and look at Feature #14 you'll see we are hooking up our Kickstarter backers with a limited edition version of the bag that will have a 'Founder's Edition' patch inside the bag. It's our thanks to you guys for believing in us! www.kickstarter.com/projects/fyro/fyro-backpack
Your other short showed both Aer packing cubes at the same time. Will both Peak Design also fit? Vertical space looks more limited with Peak Design.
yup! Both PD packing cubes (regular and small) will also fit 💪
@@Fyro_official Perfect! Really appreciate the reply. I've been on the fence between the PD and Aer, but prefer the expansion capabilites of the PD. This just helped me decide. Can't wait to receive my Fyro!
@@AlexanderZinzer me too! haha
Here’s my part to the feasibility study: rain covers never get used. Nobody goes outside in a rain shower. They wait it out. Especially with a high end bag carrying any expensive gear. Rain covers are ugly and are tossed in a closet the day the bag arrives. By the slim chance you need it, it’s in your closet while you’re at the airport. Name two people you have ever seen wearing the rain cover. Besides, if the bag is worth it, it should be resistant to rain on its own.
appreciate your perspective! Rain covers are slightly more common in densely urban areas where people live out of their backpacks (like where I am in Hong Kong) but I agree that its overkill for the common person, and the bag is quite water resistant as is. That's why we'll add it as an add-on and anyone who wants one can pick it up 💪
guess i’m the rare paranoid person. I hardly walk around outside with my current edc bag, yet! i still own and carry a rain cover for my current bag. They compress small and weigh little. I have used it a couple times. I know there are truly waterproof bags out there, but they’re not really EDC bags imho. Some are more for bike commuters, or there’s bags like Wandrd’s which are pretty cool, but just don’t do it for me re: my type of storage organization. in the case here of the T22, I am more concerned about the hatch’s weather resistance since it doesn’t have its own zipper under the hatch.
@@edisoncarter thanks for your comment! And I agree, rain covers can be great for the right person as you said since they are so light and easy to pack. The Hatch is quite water resistant - the materials are all water repellent and most of the compartment is covered. Having said that, there is still a gap between the lid and the fabric on the sides. This is the case with many backpacks with lids, there's usually a small gap somewhere. But we did plenty of rain/water test, and as long as the bag is being worn on your back (aka, not tilted on it's side) then the chances of rain entering are slim. And for extra peace of mind, we'll be offering the rain cover for those crazy monsoon days :) Happy to answer anymore questions! - Aaron
Dude you are killing it! Great short and absolutely appreciate you doing these vids. Keep up the good work!
thanks so much, more coming!!
BTW, love this method of answering questions with a video - so simple and yet clarifies things so clearly.
anytime! so glad you found it helpful
Thank you so much! this is perfect.
The amount of people that overthink and live and die by listed dimensionsis surpising. Its like they have never handled soft goods in real life. Nice illustration.
Cheers! Yea I get where people are coming from, they just want to play it safe which makes sense for certain accessories, but packing cubes are so forgiving so it's not as big of a deal
For me, it was more that I don't have a decent set of compressible packing cubes, so before purchasing them, wanted to find the ones that would fit the best in this backpack with minimal wasted space. Basically, in this case, the PD small would fit in the bottom of the backpack, while still leaving the rest of the backpack accessible for other stuff for me.
@@ArpanCJ love it! I think it'll make a perfect combo 💪
@@ArpanCJ That was my thought when I saw this. A small pd cube will be better with everything else needed to pack.
DAMN! 😮👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏾
