Connect the lines for where to cut and mitre off
Too bad no detail on how to cut anything, neeext
Good work love it
How does the water that is flooding the valley during a heavy rain not go under the tin roofing?
Very good, except 1 crucial point you forgot to demonstrate. *How to achieve the correct fall gutter position.
Unique
Onlg issue i see here from experience with water, it was better to selastic around the internal edge of the gutter 'downpipe' hole or on the inside edge of the insert prior to inserting. Hence spreeding the selastic in a water tight fashion then rivit/screw in place - then smooth over for finished effect.
Looking for a year how to install gutter in OZ, get all the American crap. And today, I stumble on literally every aspect I needed to know to put up my shade house gutter and 'backing', and extra tips I may not know for the down pipes. Watching this shows how little the regulations seem to be in nt Qld.
@steeline how can i join your team
@steeline how can I join you wonderful team
The most useless video i have ever seen
No down turns on bottom of hips no epdm under flashing under hip ridge junction, using a straight edge to mark cuts?
Looking at metal roof instalations The installs here in Australia is lightyears ahead of most American installs.
in New Zealand the rip off roofing companies are charging between $23k to $30k to roof a small 120m2 roof, claiming materials are the reason. But I bought ALL the materials just under $8k and my friend and I did the job in 2 days. so at if I was paying hourly at $75 an hour, it would have cost $2400 for 2 days. Total $10,400. (I bought my own edge protection at $600 that I will on sell)
Appreciate the videos but you showed nothing on the cuts at the top where all 3 intersect……
I 😊😅😅
Woow amazing
Great vid thanks
I love how they didnt show details of the most complicated cuts and join which is the bit everyone who watched this video was hoping to see.
probably a reason
They want to continue charging a fortune and not let you do it.

Kiwi too, i have a new build coming up and get same numbers,i figure the bosses got greedy, pay their boys $30-40hr and they get about $15K for organizing a 2-4day job.Im a small time builder and would need to put in 4 weeks to charge that much on labor. Its all through the industry, drainlayers, concreters, scaffolders, its no wonder houses cost so much in NZ.@@brobinson8614
Roof plumbers are one of,if not THE, biggest scumbag trade. They charge a fuckload for shit you can do yourself basically and they rarely do things to actual Aus Std because THEY can sign off their own work and no inspector ever checks their stuff because it's too high up. I allways give clients the receipts for material so they know I'm not ripping them off or charging on top.
Terrible
I was looking for tiles cut to a fibreglass valley but thanks for showing me how easy Australian roofing is 😂
No insulation over the ridges. Not good enough. Every time I ordered material from steeline batemans bay stuff always missing.
Hey Mate My house is 1973. In a small area the fascia has warped slightly on the underside, on a rule of thumb, does the new way of erecting fascia’s the same? My mate told me today they have clips. Any help would be much appreciated, and thanks for the video.
What’s the required measurement
On a tied roof you would have a bracket every second rafter. On an iron roof you will put a bracket on every rafter.
Terrible detail
Nice
Not enough detail I'm afraid.
The video briefly mentioned using double sided tape to attach the foil to the gutter How do you attach the sarking to the roof battens?
Doesn't show the actual bits someone would want to know, like the details of marking the mitres or how to actually cut the junction.
What’s the required distance ?
On a tied roof you would have a bracket every second rafter. On an iron roof you will put a bracket on every rafter.
000000
Looks good from my house
What an ugly job, all those exposed rivets, no wonder nothing lasts long.
Explain how you would put pop rivets into the gutter and fascias with out seeing each pop rivet.
So do you sit the valley over the fascia into the gutter or just let it sit before the fascia and run off into the eave
Please do the same video but in detail. That would help in my case.
“…Three rivets up the face, and one up the bottom…”…really? 😂
Ol mate makes it look easy nice work.
They look pretty rough jobs to me
You guys are so helpful <3
You guys have been extremely helpful for me I appreciate your quick and straight foward videos without the banter, cheers!
Next, install the guttering as cheaply as possible. Do your best and silicone the rest
Bruh atleast show the finish. I want to see if its cut tight to each roll

Hello! Dumb question here...does the insulation always follow the battens' line or the trusses/roof sheets? Cheers
You think that you whoever was recording would atleast got up on the roof and recorded the actual cuts from the top
Wish they showed more on how to join the hips and ridge, how they cut them in
Awesome building.
Hell no you didn't explain that well enough
paper, looks like sarking to me ;-)
Will leak 100%
@Jon Doe silicone is crap and will cause leaks eventually
No it won’t. You prob know f All about roofing. If done correctly will last for 30 years plus.

Go look at every new house. 100% you will find this is how it done. From manufacturer standard instructions. Indeed some selastic can hold in certain temps but that's because you used the wrong one. I would be using a exterior water proof selastic. Till 2014 I had no idea most modlings and trims on cars were held on but an automotive selastic. That stuff binds everything and is 100 percent water proof.
