Grocery Haul for a Family of 4 | What We Bought | Snack Ideas and Meal Planning
This week we spent $220 in groceries for our family of 4 ($30 was in salt for our water softener, but still! I cannot believe how expensive food has gotten).
Anyway! Here is everything we bought and some things I do to organize our pantry and snacks for the kids!

❤❤❤
My son is autistic and he’s seven and literally has what we call his safe clothes only two different shirts and a pair of pants I totally relate to this because we wash them all the time and the wait for them to even be out of the washer and dryer is horrible for him. But ppl think we don’t bath him or even wash his clothes but that’s not the case at all he just refuses to wear anything but them so when he does put something new one it’s a massive achievement party in the house lol😂
❤❤❤
Why is that so true
Fr
My daughter went to preschool with Batman, at least that’s who I assume he was because I never saw him in anything other than a Batman costume. Ever. Even at the Christmas concert Batman was wearing his Batman costume, he did pair it with some reindeer horns with bells so he was festive Batman.
As long as its cleaned regularly, showing that their hygiene is being cared for, wear what you like.
Don't assume anything
Or, parents. Can't afford water and elec. Or soap.
We have multiples of my son’s favorites and I’m over worrying about if he looks like he’s wearing the same thing twice!
I taught an autistic boy to swim. Took 3 summers (sensory issues). He always wore the same shoes, swim trunks, outfit, you name it. For the 3 summers. And his mom was hilarious. She goes, “Yeah we own 2 of these shoes in every size and about 10 swim trunks in multiple sizes and his entire wardrobe is these pants and tops. I need him to wear clothes, these are the ones he doesn’t refuse, so we bought them in bulk and he’s set until he’s a teen” 😂 great kiddo too.
Love this
Wow, this made me cry. Thought I was the only one
As an older sister and a cousin that practically babysat a 4 and 2 year old. I can confirm
first!! pin?❤
Your kitchen looks like YOU HAVE Never used it for yourself OR YOU Having kids. 😅😅😅😅
It won’t look like this once they get home from school! 😅
Thank you so much! That’s genius and much more convenient. Less time consuming in the moment you’re making it.
Right?! Less time is always good.
Don't let the haters in these comments get you down! It is easier to take out one prepped bag and throw the contents in the blender than to have to get all the different fruits out when one of the kiddos wants a smoothie. Taking the time and effort to meal prep/pre-portion makes things easier later on.
Absolutely! Thank you for that ❤
I'm so sorry you are feeling so overwhelmed. I think the kids should be able to put their homework in their backpack, you want your kids to be responsible, and if you do too much they will rely on you for everything. With the other tasks, does your husband have a brain ? Wonderful, he can do some of these very simple tasks. The world doesn't need to fall all on your shoulders Mama!
Wow. Revolutionary.
Move from one bag to another… yeah that’s a hack…. That’s stupid
Then don’t do it! 🤣
it’s actually helpful bc u don’t have to pick everything out
@ but you do… same shit different times
@@TrudazAO Different times: 1. when ur kid isnt hungry 2. when ur kid is hungry So why not do it at 1.
I wouldn't use plastic bags, but getting 1 bag, opening it and dumping it into a blender is like 8x easier than: grabbing 4 bags, scooping out the contents of each, then closing 4 bags, bringing them back to the freezer, getting yogurt, opening the yogurt, finding a spoon, adding yogurt, then putting the yogurt away....
Smart ❤
Thank you for being so real! Your fridge looks so much like mine lol. But I also couldn’t stop staring at the gorgeous Mountain View outside your kitchen window 😍

I’m lucky to live in such a beautiful area, I don’t take it for granted!🥹
🎉🎉🎉
❤❤❤
Audiobooks and podcasts baby. Then when you have date night or hang with mom friends you have something new to say other than what gross thing your toddler did last week.
The only thing I converted was my frozen food to organic options and non enriched food items. No hfcs. But otherwise stuff happens😅❤ we grab occasional hot pockets and taquitos😅❤ not being bougie, my son and myself both have alopecia clean food makes a difference.
Yesss!!! Take my subscribe ❤️ every part of this resonated with me.
Love tour TH-cam videos! I’m happy it wasn’t spending the day with your 4 year old. Mom content is much better than family vlogging content IMO 💕🥰
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. And also good point, I definitely don’t want to become a family vlogging account.
Eating frozen meals IS NOT normal. You should put them in the microwave or toaster oven first
Grocery delivery is life
I don’t know how I lived before it.
best if used by november 14 2014.. 😂
Did I say 2014?! 🤣 If I did, I meant 2024. lol
Thank you for normalizing this 🥹
Thank you ❤❤❤
It is very overwhelming! School, church, friends hpuse grandparents... I started saying no thank you, we are paper free.
Haha! I need to start responding that way.
I appreciate your videos so much ! Your vulnerability in sharing real life makes me feel less alone as a single mother. Thank you for being you 💜
Great mom fed is best🫶🏻💖
Yummy! I love your videos! ❤
Same!
Not niche, this is all anyone ever talks about anymore and it's so overdone.
❤❤❤
Fed is best
Truth!
That’s my philosophy!
You are definitely not alone. I feel like my life is supermarket sweep. It's the deepest love, and the work that it requires is just as much. I looked up and my son was 15. Remember to try to consciously be present because I feel like I was so worried and in that frantic stage for so long that I didn't remember to just be. Again, you are so far from alone in feeling this
🙋♀️
I don't know why but it seems like they really want us to explode. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Even though my husband helps with almost everything, he always can't seem to find the thing he needs the most whenever I'm way overstimulated. 🤦♀️
I don’t have kids of my own, but I have two nephews and I used to work at a school. I can totally relate to your experience. It’s very overstimulating for me to be around kids for longer periods of time. I honestly don’t know how anyone does it without a community of people for support.
You get a break though
Amazingly beautiful, though !!! 👍🏻
On this point i think that pregnancy and kids can give women not only post partum depression but full PTSD
You’re not the only one. My mother-in-law had seven children in 10 years. I think they consider that she and my father-in-law hit critical mass.
I get you! When the kids where little I was in full survival mode. Now that they are aging into highschool, I can have some thoughts and even have thoughtful conversation with them but I am still not thinking my own deep thoughts yet.
