Having practiced dead stick landings I was surprised how quickly I lost airspeed in spite of having shoved the stick forward. As I looked at the field to my left I felt the plane mushing and instantly pushed the stick full forward. Immediately I realized how easy it would be to get into a stall spin scenario especially if climbing out. I had leveled out and was cruising. I do forward slips on m...

I had just taken off from a friend's field, had leveled and reduced to cruise. About 5200 rpm. About 1 minute later the engine died. I had a 1,000' altitude so, with nothing but forest ahead, it was no problem turning back to a hillside field that I had just passed. I recently did a quick video on doing the w/b on the 202. The adjustment for w/b is simply moving the seat forward or back.
