Sunset with the sound of waves - Little Black Sands Beach, The Lost Coast
มุมมอง 46 หลายเดือนก่อน
The sound of the waves rolling over the coarse black sand at sunset looking towards the north coast of The Lost Coast of California. The Lost Coast is the largest coastal back-country trail network in the nation and the longest undeveloped coastline in the contiguous United States. It’s hard to imagine how healing it is to breath the incredible air generated from being between 63.8 million squa...
Benches and Picnic Benches of Shelter Cove

There are so many good options to sit on a bench or enjoy a picnic at a picnic bench around Shelter Cove at California's Lost Coast. There are more than what you see here, but you get the idea. It’s hard to imagine a more serene setting while hearing the waves crashing and breathing the incredible air generated from being between 63.8 million square miles of Pacific Ocean on one side and the 68...

McWay Falls at Sunset in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park 4K
มุมมอง 648 หลายเดือนก่อน
McWay Falls is an 80-foot-tall (24 m) waterfall on the coast of Big Sur in central California that flows year-round from McWay Creek in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, about 37 miles (60 km) south of Carmel, into the Pacific Ocean. During high tide, it is a tidefall, a waterfall that empties directly into the ocean. The sound of ocean waves was overlaid with the sound of Eagles, Hotel Californ...

That amazing! Best clip of the falls I've seen.
Thanks. It would be great if I could adequately convey the whole experience - the most of the falls blowing in my face and filling my lungs, being completely drenched in cool pure water, the thrill of walking somewhat perilously on wet steps made of stone beside a steep drop off... the aliveness of the experiences very much comes back to me as I write this. Thanks for triggering that memory for me!
❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Dangerous. Is there any warning signs or barriers?
Yes, kind of dangerous. I don't recall warning signs, but there may have been some. Further up, there was a railing. I believe they did close that trail shortly after I recorded that to make it safer. I haven't been back since though; so, I'm not sure what all changed.
Yes they have warning signs because people have gone over the falls to their death.
@@417flop In 2019, Xuan Wang, 56, was killed by falling ice and rock while hiking on the Mist Trail. She ignored the trail's closure signs and went around the gate. In 2019, Joshua Conner, 32, was killed after slipping and falling down a granite slope into the Merced River. However, although the Mist Trail has been the site of many deaths over the years, it seems most victims were swept over the falls after climbing past a barrier at the top of the falls rather than while climbing those steps.
The noise is crazy😭

@@CDsNature thank you :)
Fantastic way of seeing the world! Really great. I enjoyed every second of this immensely! Thanks so much!
Thank you for your kind and generous comment. There is so much beauty the world has to offer us. Sometimes we travel to distant places to observe the beauty in the right season. Other times we recognize there is beauty to be found right in front of our eyes and all around us at any moment if we are only willing to take a breath and be open to see the beauty that exists in all things. That way of seeing the world is a choice. A choice that in these times may seem hard to make when there is so much strife and division. However, if we look closely, the beauty is still there.
