I'm done.
Who doesn't love a dramatic title.
I'm playing catch up on older content, shorts and reels, photos that haven't been edited yet, and realize I need a longer break.
My next edit will be January 17th, 2025. Can't wait to see you all then.
See you in the New Year!

Oh same! I felt this. I love making vlogs but they don't always resonate with my audience. Which is fine! But I have to make the things my eyes want to see as well. Anything else (ie. chasing the algo) leads to burnout. Also trimmed my own bangs in my last vlog, great minds? lol

I appreciate that you acknowledged that nothing will be perfect & you can't let perfection stop you from uploading. And you're 1000x better at editing than me 😂 I also like that you're doing it for you because you just enjoy it - needed to hear that. I don't always have time to plan out every video, think through shots, write a script, etc, so I just hold on tightly to the idea that something is better than nothing. Like you implied, it's a learning process. Thanks!

@morellarebornvlogs Thank you so much! I feel like TH-cam is a place where you should be doing whatever it is you want to for yourself. It's your chance to explore and be creative. It's all about trying your best and it's totally okay to have things planned out. That's how I started. I still love the videos i created in the past, i'm just trying some new things while i have the chance! Thank you so much for watching!!

I feel this! As someone hired to make content it is very easy to justify buying more gear. But it doesn’t actually always make sense. If I had to say my most disappointing purchase was the GoPro, so the little 360 you have is very tempting. I am a photographer first and then video second so I always prioritize photography, and then default to phone for video like you when I’m out and about. That’s why it’s tempting to get something that is not on my phone… but I’m not letting myself buy anything for a while, I don’t actually NEED anything . Just want lol

It's all in the Bible and is only going to get worse. Please turn to Jesus Christ. Acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior; repent of your sins; leave the things of the world behind and surrender your life to Him. 90% of people who actually believe they are Christians are not while only @ 10% are truly born again. Please examine your faith to see if you truly are born again. The window of time to repent is closing soon. What is coming next is going to be devastating. Please humble yourself and cry out to God. Please turn to Him. It is too late for me but may not be for you.

I feel you! I also applied for 200+ jobs. I did nearly a dozen interviews and found out through the process, that most of those positions had already been promised to someone else, but the office just had to go through the steps of interviewing other people. What a waste. Then, once September rolled around and everyone was back from vacation, I received some offers and am finally leaving my current job (harassment and retaliation galore there; most of my coworkers are trying to leave as well) next week. It’s disheartening to apply for so many jobs and not have any success, but my advice would be to keep applying and interviewing until something sticks. It sucks though.

As an oem manufacturer in the greater Vancouver area... businesses are still trying to absorb all the extra costs that governments have placed. Just land tax was 400k extra this year. That is a decent wage for several employees in that 400k. It would be fine if that 400k grew GDP, services, roads, infrastructure to make a more efficient community. But it is just to pay bureaucratic bloat. Businesses need to hire, but the costs to hire right now with how hard hit everyones cash flow is, makes it not economical to carry the extra wage before profitability is realized. Market is either smoking hot, or dead, creating no predictable future to plan and hire for. So everyone is stuck in limbo until elections.

Don't just apply online. I am taking a Power of Possibility program at my local employment service, and they gave us very useful and effective advise on how to look for work. What you should do is look into the hidden job market, go in person and apply for a job at companies, with a good marketing or elevator pitch, look up listings of companies and look at their websites. Do cold calls and emails, follow ups and interview introductions. Network with people you know (neighbours, family, friends, colleagues), even existing workers at a company. I find if you apply on indeed, LinkedIn etc., you are slowing down the process and wasting time. The AI scanners are just going to wipe out your resume. Job hunting needs to be a personable experience. Believe me, I have been applying my head off for 2 years without any luck.

You might have done this already, but here are a few ideas. Employers nowadays receive not 10 times more resumés than before the Internet, but more around 100 times more. Their inbox is overflowing with candidates. I suggest you don't limit yourself to sending electronically your résumé. It sounds strange in this era, but if you want to stand out a bit, you might want to send a few the old fashioned way, by mail. Yes, paper. Find 10 companies that you dream of working for. Then send, your résumé to a manager. Also, start making cold calls. I know, it's hard. But it is one way of standing out. Request a meeting with a manager, to present a project or an idea. Try to find out what type of problems or issues those companies have to face. If possible, bring a solution to the table. Maybe you need to become a contractor, not an employee. You might also need to expand your search geographically. Being mobile is always a plus in a search. Have you tried applying for jobs on First Nation reservations in northern Alberta? I heard that it was easier to get contracts from the provincial government of Alberta than contracts from the federal government. Check if that info is still true. As a unemployed person, it's important to vary your strategies. The fact that you started this channel is very good. I know how hard it is to be unemployed.

I do not know the nature of your profession or the sector where you are looking for employment, but I am en engineer, which means I work on projects that have deadlines for delivering our product. Also my industry is subject to surges and lulls in demand. This means there are periods where we are extremely busy because we are in a deadline crunch, and you need to work insane hours late and on weekends to be able to meet the deadline, and at other times we are not so busy, because we are between projects. So it is impossible in my line of work to work regular 8AM to 5PM hours, Monday to Friday, week after week. I do not know if marketing is the same as engineering in that respect, but it could be that potential employers sense that they may not be able to rely on you when they are in a deadline crunch.
