Wow... when you told that teacher, "I want to be an actor," and she responded, "You should do retail instead!" ....it just hit real hard, man. People seem to have low expectations for us autistics. I wanted to be a super star, but never got as much as a single solo throughout grade school, or a role in one of my church's skits. Even the desire to get married and have children seems far out of reach when the people around you don't believe in you. Really powerful interview with your mom there!
