Thank you for the comment. I hope you like it better than i do because it doesn't work for my taste. I tested with friends and noticed it worked better for their taste. I also love the original but this one doesn't.

I believe him. Because I already had this one. Dupes are cheap for a reason. Although the scent is similar with the og, the performance is so weak.

@AAR14616 plenty of dupes that are cheap and last 12 hours

Considering it's 10x cheaper doesn't matter if you have to use twice as much, it's still 5x cheaper and you don't have to pay $120 to get the same exact DNA

@@kenmastersmaster doesn’t matter my a**. It DOES FU*KING MATTER. Im also into dupes. But I’d rather spend 60$ dupes with decent performance than this one 19$ weak a** sh*t. If only i’d found this honest review before buying it rather than most a** licking fragrance‘influencer’

@@kenmastersmaster you always mention ‘cheaper’. Only if you can use your tiny brain to compare. For example, you only need 2-3 sprays from the ‘overpriced’ perfume to get the same performance of 8-10 sprays of their respective dupes. So if you consider the the number of sprays with the performance you will find that the price isnt THAT much of a difference. You also wouldn’t easily compare the ‘price per ml’ because its not as straightforward as that. BUT I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND the need for dupes as alternatives bcoz not many people are willing to spend 200$ for a perfume. I myself would prefer dupes, but im not as denial as you to claim that “ALL DUPES ARE GOOD BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEAP AND NOT OVERPRICED “. If its not good, then SAY ITS NOT GOOD. Regardless of the price tag. Thats my whole point of this particular issue

I haven't smelled gimgembre, unfortunately.

I have both and le male elixir is heavier on the vanilla and musk. Both are completely 🔥 but i find myself wearing born in roma intense more. I like it better.

Thank you for the question. I believe Born in Roma is the one which will attract more attention and be more versatile. Although on paper they look similar, I don't think owning both is redundant because the overall scent profile is quite different. Born in Roma goes for the fresh, playful side while Le Male Elixir feels heavier, and has more of the elegance of somewhere in the lines of Armani Code Absolu, or the new Armani Code Parfum.

I agree with you, most dupes are just a waste of money for fragmatics but hyping them is profitable for creators, which I don't do. I also live in a coastal area with high humidity.

Thank you for the feedback and for watching my review. I try not to follow the hype and offer a balanced and real point of view of my experience with every perfume i test. I don't care if it is a dupe, designer or niche. I don't have a recent formulation of Le Male, so I can't confirm if it is diluted.

Thank you so much! UPDATE: I wore it today despite it seeming so weak and got huge compliments on it. It turns out I am mostly noseblind to this fragrance but it was leaving an 8-foot scent bubble for about 2.5 hrs around me! So, I’m happier with it than I was before… and I guess I can smell it now… 9 hours later… Not sure why it makes me noseblind on initial application.

But I also saw someone questioned your integrity, which is sad. I love your channel. Great job! I agreed with you after I got this, but then changed my mind when I realized I was just going noseblind, ha ha, but I trust your honesty - some other reviewers never give a negative review for ANY fragrance.... Someone said in a comment, my videos are confusing because in don't clearly say if you should buy or not the perfume, that's because i don't want to sell you the product, i'm giving out my thoughts. Thank your for the feedback and for sharing your thoughts on the perfume. Modest Deux checks all the boxes when it comes to value for money, performance and overall scent profile. Women love the scent on other women, men love the scent on women. It's a perfect balance between being cheap and high quality for daily use. You'll buy a backup bottle for sure.
