2009 Aveo5 Thermostat Replacement
I tried to make the video as short as possible while being informative. I am not a Mechanic. I watched other videos to figure this out myself. The HOLD light came on and stayed on in my Aveo and the temperature gauge wouldn't come off of cold despite driving for over an hour, changing out the thermostat fixed it for me. I am not a mechanic. Please don't come at me for something I said wrong or called the wrong name. I made this video to help others and hope it can help you. Thank you and good luck with your project. @nooneknows79 You saved me money because I didn't have to pay anyone to do it. The new door handle only cost $8.00 on Amazon.
So do you just pry the beauty ring straight out to remove?
@@modquad18 You need to put the handle in the beauty ring and push the beauty ring away from you into the door and slide it to the left to install . To remove slide it to the right and the pull forward towards you.

This video is way better than the other two guys that tried to do it. They explain only how to take the damn thing off. I was having more of a problem of putting it back on

unable to figure out how to put the rod back into the handle
Before you put the piece back in make sure the green tab is open to the right. Then take needle nose pliers to pull the rod to the right then down into the green piece then flip the green piece to the left to lock it in place.

Great video thanks for posting, you've shown really clearly how to do it. Before I saw your video I thought we'd have to take the whole door panel off which always snaps something!☺️
