if i get a villager i dont like then i turn off the campfire flame before i leave. It seems to work for me.

I was the same I got a switch during lockdown and got animal crossing with it and was totally new the game, I had Rocket too! Which I was mad at lol, and Billy who I have a soft spot for haha!!

seems like about this time every year i think about starting a new save. I haven't touched my island in 3 years, and I got the villager I really wanted (Fauna) too, but it just didn't spark anything in me. And now I've seen 3 people start a new island in the past month. Maybe it's a sign it's time to try again.
