The Highliners - Scooter Dad! The good old days, one of the great bands from the 80's. I found this clip on the end of an old video tape, just before I binned it. Enjoy! :)

I was there as a 16 year old, everyone around me was into this set. It was a great weekend
Groundbreaking !
What a wonder he was and still is!
love the UK for being aware
I can’t help feeling some Dame Edna inspiration involved here.
gosh the "mightn't they" :')
2:20
Can't believe this was over 30 years ago, It was the first time I ever got to see the Cramps, they were awesome. I was black and blue from the wrecking in front of the stage.
The comedic and aesthetic lovechild of Eddie Izzard and The Divine David (after an upbringing at the Victoria Wood Finishing School for Wayward Gels)
Not forgotten.❤
Just amazing musicians 🙏🙏👍🏻👍🏻🎉🎉😎
Not a single phone waving in the air🤘
@@bangtwister The old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothin' days
to the latecomer.. "what's your name, any idea ? " 😁
Julian clearly learned a lot from Dame Edna
all seems a little dated now
It was 1989 😎
@@bangtwister and wasn't that funny then
@@bangtwister so that makes it fun
Yet you searched for him on TH-cam, watched and then commented. 3 times. Loser!!
Ah yes Ian Billy and Matt sorum grooovn
Bass player 🤟🔥🔥🔥
Ian was actually quite ill during the festival but still gave it 100%. The Cult is a essential English rock act.
Bill's shirt is impervious to fire.
Ah La David Bowie tonight here
Fantastic night
I saw them at the London venues on this tour. Just readi ng Bryan Gregory biography - worth a look 👍
It pauses
Increíble
Fabulous
Something I have missed out on . Fantastic and deserves an MBE
Jonathan, check your facts: 1) the novels were first published in 1912 not 1915 or-16; 2) there is no mention of 'the escarpment' once the Weissmuller series moved to R.K.O. In many scenes, Tarzan's 'tree house' was clearly in a jungle & not on a raised 'escarpment'. btw, the 'escarpment' was originally called 'Mutia Escarpment' & was named for Mutia Oomaloo (maybe mispelled) who was a native black African that played the native guide in 1931's 'Trader Horn' which led into the Tarzan series. Just check your facts first (or ask me)
Billy shaved chest!
Don't worry lux, evil will always triumph because good is dumb
So this is where John Cameron Mitchell was inspired to steal Julian's act so that he could then write and perform as Hedwig of Hedwig and the Angry Inch? My goodness- Julian is so beautiful and hysterically funny. How he can keep from breaking is beyond. Ugh! This whole set is amazing! Cheers for hosting it, Bangtwister, it made my evening 💓
Your welcome. I was in the crowd at the front somewhere. It was 1989 I think in Hackney London.
@@bangtwister Wow! That's some luck- it was an amazing show. I think I have a massive crush on Julian after finding him recently. I imagine a restraining order would be in order if I happened to catch him in person. I'm sure it would excite Julian to no end to know that I am going down his rabbit hole on TH-cam. Just the mere mentioning of it is rather exciting for myself, which I find curious. Xx
Sublime cheese!
I was there
¿ en la serie de TV de Tarzan no salia Jane ?
I’m stoned, too! Like Cap’n Kirk! Blaze me up, Star Trek ship!
Very best actor very bad singer Its thé life Captain 😁no one is good for all 😘
Anne Diamonds baby
And to handle man ? I think its most difficult no ?😉 I love u mister shatner, you are great actor. 🤗
wow..te days ofmy youth... I hate to age. LOL.
I love the cult Saw them live at the Cornwall coliseum St Austell But ian Astury can't sing live. He's a cool bloke but not a good singer.
Great
I saw the band at an alldayer in Bournemouth, with a few others including Knave at the Gardening Club. It was, I think, Summer '96. If anyone out there can date it more definitely, please do! The Stinging Sound ep was excellent!
This performance is somewhat less embarrassing knowing that it is an interpretation of a song from the musical Camelot.
Bill's hair is particularly thick and luxuriant here.
Yes, I agree. The wig makers in the USA in the 1970's used imperial measurements to produce the thickness of the hair strands. This produced a superior rug compared to European hair makers which uses the metric system. Probably.
I caught this gig 2 years later with Reckless Eric on the bill!
superbe !
Shockingly weak material Clary was working with here, he's lucky that crowd was so forgiving.
I think it's reflective of the time.
I was in the crowd and quite scared he was going to pick on me. A lot of people were nervous, it was a bit on the edge at that time. 1989 i think.
Yes, bangtwister ... he was brave, it's very brave to just be your self. The atmosphere now, in 2022, is so different. People have no idea! Julian Clary & others made all of this possible.
Gordon Scott looked alot Doug Mclure when he got older
Now picture this, a crossover film between Tarzan and The Land That Time Forgot, Scott and McClure together facing off dinosaurs and Germans. Stuff of dreams!
The Shat can do ANYTHING! Truly a king of all media and genres.
I was there...
This is just what I needed during lockdown😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love him.
Thanks for the upload the cramps will always be the epitome of rock'n'roll
