Circular Saw Edge Guide
มุมมอง 1407 ปีที่แล้ว
I made a circular saw edge guide from some 1/4" MDF. The edge guide makes it very easy to make straight cuts exactly where I want them - just put down the guide so its edge is where I want the cut, clamp it in place and run the saw on the guide.
Making a Panel
มุมมอง 187 ปีที่แล้ว
Often I need a hardwood panel that's wider than most boards you can get at a reasonable price, since most trees just don't grow that big. When I need a wide panel, I glue up several narrower boards into a single panel, and then I sand it flat.
Fixing Misaligned Door Latch Screws
มุมมอง 1.1K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Fixing misaligned door latch screws by drilling out old holes and plugging them with dowels, then drilling new holes in the correct locations.
Crosscut Square Jig
มุมมอง 2787 ปีที่แล้ว
To make cross cutting with a circular saw easier, I make a cross cut square jig, which allows me to cut 90º and 45º angles by just holding the jig where I want the cut, and running the circular saw along the edge of the square.
Bosch ROS65VC-6 Sander Review
มุมมอง 3.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
I got a new Bosch ROS65VC-6 sander. This sander is great! It produces almost no dust even without the vacuum attached, and it works very very well. Highly recommended.
Garage Side Shelf

I built a side shelf in the corner of the garage out of 2x4s to organize some things better and free up the floor space right by the door.

Hello, this was so helpful for me. I'm putting together a beehive and messed it up in a couple ways. For one, i stripped out a couple holes, so not I know what to do. Yet I would like to ask help with another mistake I made. I did not use 90* corner brasses to make sure they set straight, and now the box down line up with one another. So I have taken them apart, order the brasses, yet don't know how to correct the screw holes that are already set? I feel like even with the brasses intact, the screws are going to go right back into the same pattern and the boxes will again be off centered. Someone told me I do try to slightly bend each screw?!?! Or should I put toothpicks in all the holes then try to re-screw? What would you recommend? It would be so helpful to hear back from you. This is a project that is very important to me. Thank you so much. Brad

The screws will probably try to go into the existing holes resulting in misalignment again. You need to either move the braces to slightly different locations if possible, so that you can make new holes, or you need to plug existing holes with glued dowels like I did in the video and then make new holes.

@@sawandspark Thank you. I know so little about wood shop that I'm worried I'm going to end up ruining what I paid a lot of money for. But thank you for your help. Grateful.

Great design S&S! Use four 60" 1x6 (0.75x5.5) cedar fence planks. Three boards split for the sides and bottom (2x30" each). One last board: 4@ 9.5" length for the ends, 4@ 2.75x11" (ripped in half), for the vertical side supports. No waste!
