06.30.2023-07.02.2023 We spent 10.5 hours on a 10.6 mi round-trip hike to Heather & Emerald Lakes at Sequoia National Park. Snow persisted even in July, so we had to bring our crampons to hike in the snow. The lake trail leads to three lakes, Heather, Emerald then Pear Lake. Rangers told us that Heather was doable as long as we have crampons, but it likely wouldn’t be possible to get to Emerald...
