Seriously thinking of getting one, but my Honda shadow is shaft drive, and you just can't beat the reliability of shaft drive. Have you had to replace your drive belt yet?
I just sat on a 2024 Vulcan 900 Classic LT today. I was sure I was going to buy it since I owned a 2008 previously. I’m 6’3”. I was stunned when I discovered they had modified the seat so that it now pushes you so far forward I was literally sitting partially on the gas tank! Honda ruined a great motorcycle!
Can u see thru the windshield in the rain? Thank you
It does create a obstacle but not so bad you can't see where your going I'm sure if it rains hard enough but at that point you should pull off the road and wait it out
Lights are awesome can u tell us about them?
I have a 2018 Vulcan Classic LT and had the same problem you’re having with the seat. Bought a Mustang seat and problem solved.
I love the Vulcana. Had 3 Vn900 classic and custom a 2000 and 1500. Switched to Harley. Worst mistake of my life.
I really like this bike but I find that mine really buzzes a lot at 65 mph. To the point where I feel like my hands are going to come off the grips. I don’t have a windshield. I’d like to get one because I feel like I’m going to blow off. I have the 2022 classic. I wish this bike had a 6th gear. I think that would help with the buzzing on the freeway. I don’t really take it on there anymore. I just don’t feel safe.
I have a 2009 Custom 900. I agree that a 6th gear would be nice. That being said I think the vibration issue is not that big a deal. I really dont feel it till I hit 70, I put on some vibration dampening grips which helped and use synthetic oil for a smoother ride.
Synthetic oil helps the engine smooth out a lot! Mine is smooth after the oil change. I was worried AT first about the lack of power and rough motor, but all is well now. Good luck!
is you headlight LED if yes , do you possibly have the link for all the parts i own a 2009 Vulcan classic LT thnx
What is it electric or something
No it's gas
which pipes you got in that vulcan

Thats right by my Work! 😛! Ive been thinkin Vulcan LT next and KNEW they could handle Highway speeds!
Nice.... Enjoyed, the North Phoenix Az...... Valcan 900 ride along.... I drive that route a lot, but in car, & @ times a suv or truck....
Looks like a beautiful day for a ride! Hope your wife’s surgery went well and she’s back to full strength! Love your bike. Enjoy listening in on your thoughts. Take care!
I haven't rode (ridden ?) since 2000 and I am done with being a crazy 150mph rider, and with a weak left knee and age, I figure the Vulcan 900 would be a perfect bike for getting onto the saddle ?
Glad to see you back. Looks and sounds great!
Thanks I do need to start recording and posting more life just Getz in the way
I have a 2007 which has the color scheme opposite of yours, silver on the side and black on top. I bought mine used in 2014 with 12,000 miles. Today, still running strong at 124,400 miles. Great bike.
At 75 your doing about 70 and at 90 on a gps the bike has a serious vibration, it's in the crankshaft , designed just like Harley , it's inevitable
I have a 2015 and no vibration. If I did I think I would recheck the tire and wheel balance and alignment.
Just bought a 2023 Vulcan 900 LT. Nothing has changed sine you bought your bike, Is Kawasaki lazy in not adding new features, ie Built in Tach, or is it just that could since being built in 2006? I have to believe they could have new technology in it….
I bought my Vulcan Used and the guy who had it had put a Mustang seat With the Small Back rest on it And that makes mine pretty comfortable. I have talked to a lot of Vulcan owners Also and all said the the Mustang seat out performs Circles around the stock Kawasaki seat. For what is worth...my input.
Nice. I have the same bike.
Vulcan 900 vibrations at high speeds are due to the second set of restrictor plates on the air intake, act like a governor. I removed mine with no issues to fuel consumption or cold starts/riding. I increased power and acceleration when removed. I ride till -2 or -5 oCelcius.
I have a 2011 Vulcan 900LT and use a Mustang Seat. Went from Monkey butt after an hour to riding 3-4 hours before it starts to get annoying.
Great review this higher speed review has caused me to start looking for a used onez thanks
What people don't understand is the piston speed and valve train inertial is less at higher RPM than a Harley, the stroke is much shorter so the engine isn't stressed at higher speed it's designed to rev. And it has much smaller valves just four instead of two.
On the seat, font do gel or re build of shock seat, been gone that wasting money bring a half assed fix with little improvement at best. I put an ultimate seat (memory foam) specifically built for Vulcan 900 on my 2016 900 Vulcan & it’s supper comfy. mustang seat should be a decent choice too but I prefer the ultimate seat I’ve the mustang.
What year is your bike? I have a 2008
i ride a vn 800 . same issue seriously good bike. not the best but good and solid.
it's the clutch. not designed for that load and rpm. if u upgrade springs , will not slip and vibrate at high speed.
I've owned two Vulcan Classic LT 900's , and they are great motorcycles. I have a 2012 with 8000 miles and it is such a good ride. I've been up to 95mph with some throttle left and I don't really pick up enough vibration to complain about.
I own a 2012 Classic LT 900 and it's probably the smoothest, best ridding bike of that size I've ever ridden. I've ridden interstate highways at 70-80 mph for hundreds of miles and it's a great ride with no buzzing to speak of.
had a 2008 vulcan 900 classic lt now for 3 years and loved every minute of it but have to agree it needs a sixth gear and comfier stock seat,a brilliant bike, best cruiser in the mid size range so far in my opinion.
I have one I'm in the process of putting it my injectors
I would go with the mustang seat that I've had for 20 yr's and could not come up with anything better.
I have a new 2022 Vulcan classic 900 and it handles terribly on the freeway. I’m blowing all over the place to the point where I don’t feeling comfortable going faster than 60-65. It vibrates and it takes all the wind.
I bought my 2016 brand new the head bearings were not adjusted to specs and also the Dunlop 404 tires that come oem we not the best After having the headbearings adjusted and replacing the tires with michelin Commander 2 It handles way better
Vulcans are such great bikes and easy to work on. I have windshield bags on my 900 classic.
I’ve got a 2008 Vulcan 900 classic LT I put a mustang seat on it and it’s the most comfortable seat I’ve ever had the one it was on it is like sitting on concrete so if you want a nice comfortable seat Mustang is the best that is the one I recommend
I had the same bike and I drove my Vulcan 900cc classic cruiser at 80+ miles an hour, no problems, my bike wanted to do more for me! I was just testing it. But I just go cruising between 65 to 75 Miles an hour and there is no vibrations just smooth cruising man all the way through.👌
Nice review I am considering buying one, what kind of helmet cam r u using?
I have a 2019 Classic and I love riding it. I used to feel like there needs to be a sixth gear but now I don’t even think about it. Five gears doesn’t diminish my riding experience one bit.
Why would someone need so much power if the speed limit is 55 and if you can’t take curves fast ?
it took me a long time to warm up to my roadking after having a 900 kaw custom. i did all sorts of stuff to that bike and wish i would have never sold it. you dont need pipes to get some more horses. just semi debaffle. look it up on you tub and me being cheap i bought a Volkswagen intake. it looked cool and was like 20$ vs 400$ for the same in motorcycle world.
Very nice..hope you're still enjoying it. I have a 2011 I like riding naked.. no windscreen, bags etc..getting a minimalist mindset in my old age. Easier to keep clean too. Ride safe
Thank you, just got an used 2007 , new to riding, cant wait to pass my MSF to ride it
what about an Indian style front fender as per what I designed for the wife's 900 ?
Hum. You know, this is a great video. Thank you. I can hear the bike, thank you. How much vibration is coming through the handlebars? With 0 as absolutely nothing and 10 a paint shaker, what is it really like?
