George Martin said the Bealtes had no good songs of their own when he met them. Well, they had Ask Me Why and I Saw Her Standing There ! They also had I'll Follow the Sun and I'll Be on My Way although I don't know if the Beatles played them for Martin.

I started listening to CCR in late 2023 (8th grade), probably September, still my favorite band to this day, but shortly after, probably march of 2024, I started listening to the Beatles, and man, the Beatles are a close #1, but CCR is just my personal favorite, but anyways, I think that “if I needed someone” and “rain” are very, very underrated songs the Beatles made, well, there’s a lot, like “the ballad of John and yoko” but they are just amazing songs.

Actually, when they broke up in 1970, they had released 212 songs. No other group comes even close to there incredible catalog.

My Beatles "discovery" began with the white album; in high school, a friend passed it to me, and I fell in love with it, listening over and over again - it was so unique and interesting, as well as being excellent music. "Blackbird" remains my favorite Beatles song. Thanks for this post - and for the mention of that soft Beatles playlist - I've plugged it in. I look forward to more posts!
