I believe that uncle is at least some form of red Harlow kind of like how the wizard of oz has different versions of people in other universes

You know there’s a Rockstar Dev that said the Redemption universe and the Revolver universe are not the same, but that could mean in the redemption universe the same happens but at a different date.

However rdr2 uncle doesn't look that similar to red. So maybe they changed their decision??

Honestly the biggest evidence for this is the absolute mystery of him. One of the best characters and he's got barely anything about his backstory. Even if Rockstar says it's not canon, it's intended by the developers in my opinion.

I choose to believe that RD Revolver is a Dramatization of Uncle's Life. And after avenging his parents, he decided to be less of a violent man and become more laid back, chill and a Lazy Man.

I like to imagine red dead revolver was a movie about the triumphs and tribulations of John Marston when the wild west was still happening. This explains the corny voice acting, changed names (copyright) and stuff but it also explains why he has his scars, it's marketable.

Even if red dead revolver and RDR are not in the same univers it didn"t mean both univers can"t have they own Red Harlow with a different ending and path (that's what we call it alternative ending) so yep Red dead Redemption can have is own Red Harlow

Red had a scorpion burned into his hand, uncle has no scorpion either, uncle also has a completely different personality than red, reds house can be found in new austin but the closet city was Saint Denis (most likely) which was in a completely different state, also why would uncle not have his fathers revolver if he was red, red when his parents died was clearly not 9, red was most likely 12-14, also red was a good person, a bounty Hunter, uncle is an outlaw, and uncle’s gunslinger outfit is quite literally different from reds.

The only thing that makes me think it can't be is the fact that red being a guy who was so full of vengeance and anger towards bandits and outlaws wouldn't suddenly suit up and start hanging around with those types of guys but on the other hand I also think that maybe if it was uncle it could be that after his revenge and possibly becoming a wanted man after killing the corrupt official in brimstone that maybe riding with someone like Dutch who almost like a western robin hood seems plausible but I dunno if not I think red could be Leigh Johnson the marshal of armadillo
