Our polka dancing was immense fun! The German Nickenig Family...it became a sport with us. No need for paying gymnasiums when we could dance like this!

Wow! What a delight to accidentally find this video!!! My father was born in Boppard am Rhein in Germany. After working for many years, he built a big, wonderful house on an acre of avocados, located halfway between La Habra and Brea. As kids we used to walk to the public swimming pool in Brea! Many, many years later, that hand-built house had to be moved; I was told it was SO well-built that it was moved in three sections to BREA. How we loved to dance the Vienese waltzes and POLKAS!!! Thanks for this video. 'Great fun watching it now !!!
