Hey Shakers! so this is a video I took during my EEG at Mayo clinic in Rochester MN. If anyone here is new to the epilepsy game and is wondering how it works and such, this may be helpful. excited to do another one of the normal, non sleep deprived EEG next week. You have been a massive support for me! Hope you're keeping wrll & enjoying Uni 👍As a lifetime Epilepsy warrior. Had lots of T/C seizures during childhood, fast forward to the last 4 yrs & Focal seizures on a daily occurance. Bn through Killer Keppra - What a hell of a nightmare! So short tempered, Insomnia, Increased seizures just some of the S/e. Nxt on the list I tried Phenytoin/Dilantin, similar s/e with dry mouth 24/7. Then Fycompa. Felt much more myself but, Blood pressure went sky high & 1 hr after taking , my legs would be like I'd had 10-12 pints of lager 🍺andno seizure control. Bn in /out hospital a lot with increased seizures. Apologies for going on a bit 😴 but now about to try Zonegran whilst fazing out Fycompa. Have you heard of Zonegran/Zonisamide?
Love your vlogs! This one, I can relate with alot of the issues with the Epilepsy , cos I can be in the middle of shopping or free-running Dexter (Guide dog) or be eating and my brain goes tingling/numbness then s/denly feel uh-oh! then seizure follows every date . 😪 About to start Zonisamide with Carbomazepine having tried Keppra, Phenytoin & Fycompa, so keeping fingers crossed for Zonisamide! 🙏🤞
