I especially love all the steam hauled passenger trains in this video!
Certainly with Winston Churchill on a West Coast Railways tour with a 47 at the rear
The tank train with no turrets are Personnel carriers with light machine gun on, the class 56 on the 'Redland' train is not coal but Lime stone for making cement.
Thanks for the info
Nice, but too many stinky diesels are in use. Steam engines are the future, helping our planet be as green as it always will be. We cannot survive without carbon emissions. No carbon means no trees, no trees means no oxygen, and then our entire human race will be wiped out. Diesels are for non-believers, Electricity is wrong, Steam has got the power that will pull us along. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, the inside might be as black as the night, At the end of the tunnel, there's a light.
Well I would rather live than die thanks
If the model Toad Van has plastic wheels, it won't freewheel reliably. Whereas, if you had bought the same Toad Van with metal wheels, the model would freewheel easily and more reliably round curves. Next time, you look to purchase a model brake van, closed van or open wagon, look for the models which have metal wheels. You'll have better freewheeling luck, trust me.
The brake van did have metal wheels
Very nice and steamy. But shame on you for not riding up close and personal behind the two steam engines, Lady of Legend and Bahamas. You should have had your head stuck out of the front carriage door window all the way in both directions, letting the engines deafen you loud and proud while showering you with soot. You missed out the best bit, Lady of Legend barking up Eardington Bank, no enthusiast ever misses that. I can understand why you didn't ride behind 7714, by the time her coaches had emptied somewhat, you might not have managed it. Also shame on you for photographing those stinky diesels. Your camera should have stayed glued to the steam engines, which it eventually was, so let you off. I do my best to be up close and personal behind a steam engine, I stay well away from stinky diesels.
The plan was to get behind Bahamas and Lady of Legend but there wasn't any space left and the windows were all taken
Absolutely amazing, fantastic capture. I was always looking out for this engine.
First time I saw it in its GBRf livery
Lovely ex GWR loco.
Indeed
Lovely ex lnwr saddle tank.
Indeed
Remember the. Passing tokens at20. Mph in Newtown😊
They are certainly an icon part of Britains Railway's
Bet you enjoyed your first ride ride behind Pendennis Castle most of all. What's not to love about God's Wonderful Railway? Steam Rules Supreme.
I was so happy that Pendennis Castle was running that day
Should have saved Britannia's departure for the end, lol. Bet you enjoyed capturing her. If you had the money to travel onboard a steam railtour, which steam engine would you most like to ride behind?
Tough choice, any steam locomotive would do
Nice 👍
Thanks
Nice we saw that at Milton keynes
hi
Nice one sam!
Fantastic captures. I have models of several of those. I hope Hornby don't cancel my pre-order for the Queen's Platinum jubilee 67!
Thanks, Hornby's 67007 is certainly a good loco so hopefully they don't cancel your order
Nice meeting you at bath
And it was nice to meet you as well
Nice one Sam i was with you for 67007
Indeed you were, it was certainly a good day
Good video once again!
Great video mate! Saw Pendennis myself a few days back.
You missed out the Pannier Tank Engine, as a station pilot. If you want to show trains running true 1960s style, try filming in black and white. I like black and white videos as much as the colour ones.
The Pannier on station pilot didn't cross my mind but I will try and do a black and white video at some point
Very good video mate
Awesome review. I was looking for advice before buying this. Thanks for the help❤
Well done , great layout .
Thank you
I'd like to see a steam gala on your railway, featuring all the steam engines you own. No stinky diesels allowed.
Yeah, I am thinking of starting the steam galas back up again
Congratulations. One day, I'll get to 700, hopefully
You've got one more today . 😀
@ChapelEndJunctionUK Many thanks, every sub helps
One day you will, I am one of them

Well done for getting 700 Subscribers
Thanks
@@samuelslocos your welcome bro
Great job
Nice closed van. Diesels are used for heavier and longer goods trains, normally hauled by either a GWR or LMS 2-8-0 Heavy Freight Engine, or the stronger 9F Heavy Freight Engine. A small coal train can be pulled by something like a GWR Small Prairie Tank Engine, or a 57xx Pannier Tank Engine.
I always enjoy your videos👍
I will look into the LNER and GWR coaches
In my rolling stock collection of 00 gauge status, I have a GWR open wagon with a wood load in it. I was tired of coal loads. I see 4-wheeled wagons and closed vans go round 2nd radius curves very easily. Why not purchase some Hornby LNER 6-wheeled coaches with lights, and GWR 4-wheeled coaches? Those will go round 2nd radius curves just as well, so slowing down and derailing are kept to a minimum. They were designed to roll round curves slightly tighter, so they should give you no trouble. I have them, and they work a treat.
Hi it's Callum from bath! I've subscribed
Thank you very much Callum
Brilliant. Always good to hear the thumpers whistle.
Nice. Electric diesels like the Class 87 were in either BR Blue or Intercity Swallow livery for the 1960s era. Railfreight Green didn't exist till the new millennium, which was never applied to the Electric Diesel class. Try swapping your Railfreight Green Electric Diesel for the older BR Blue model, and you'll have the better version for a 1960s scene.
Thanks, strangely enough the class 87 didn't actually come into service until 1973
I miss you so much bro
Great video mate
I’m back yesterday from India 🇮🇳
How are you
Hey Samuel
This is OK. Pity there was no steamy hauling the railtour train, but you get what you see.
What exactly am I watching? 🤔
Midland Pullman train :)
Cool, was this weed killing? I assume so.. would be a bit early if it was the RHTT! Awesome video 👍
Good video
Nice one Samuel

You must have enjoyed your ride behind a steamy, and with Mr. DMU, very much. Hope you can visit a different heritage railway. It's good to have variety.
