About Radius Gallery
Lisa Simon and Jason Neal opened Radius Gallery in 2014 to showcase the skills and sensibilities of artists they admire, to connect those artists to discerning collectors, and to create an energetic forum for discussing art and its vitality in the world today.
Live with Art
The Radius Gallery mantra/motto-live with art-argues for bringing into our homes and work spaces art that delights the eyes and excites the imagination. More than that, it's an encouragement to take a risk, to embrace art’s ability to coax and provoke ideas about the human condition, the natural world, and how we engage one another and our surroundings in the 21st century. Our intention for the gallery, always, is that it be a place of interest for everyone, a locus of inclusion and open-mindedness in our community, and an entity that advocates for other art initiatives in and around Missoula.

How to Care for Your Encaustic Paintings
Radius Gallery's represented artist Pamela Caughey briefly talks about how to care for an encaustic artwork.

"I am moved by the abstraction of imagery, ideas and concepts. The process of creating art is one that invites experimentation, problem-solving, and attacking an idea or concept from many angles. A new discovery is invigorating, but must be scrutinized, challenged and pushed in multiple directions before it can be used successfully and executed with conviction. It is the process of learning, a willingness to make mistakes, critical analysis and rarely being satisfied that keeps me coming back to my studio."
- Pamela Caughey
Based in Hamilton, Montana, Pamela Caughey is a full-time studio artist and teacher. She holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of MOntana and works in many media, with special interest in cold wax/oil, encaustic, mixed media and acrylic. Caughey’s paintings are in the permanent collections of the Missoula Art Museum, the Holter Museum of Art, and the Nicolaysen Museum of Art, and her works appears in the recently published book Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts, Conversations by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin. In addition to painting, Caughey teaches workshops from her studio, throughout the country and abroad.
