7 years later and your still helping people out! Had this issue just start happening to my Saturn, thanks for the video!

I just had this issue come up with my recent Saturn Vue when I apply my brakes. Also engine intermittently goes into security mode.

I've had to change mine twice already...

I fix my switch then my car won't start then replace the starter switch then the light stays on the we switch the light handle and it works great now thanks for your help

Thank you for the video my wife calls me on her way to the dentist with my eldest daughter. The car is smoking from the steering column she pulls over on the freeway. I have a Buick lesbre I recently seen smoke coming from my steerwheel column twice while driving i was kinda terrifying but have to be careful fr fr I haven't figure out what it is yet

Do you have to disconnect the battery at all to prevent the air bag from deploying?

My 03 l300 has been doing this and I can hear the static from wires touching and burning plastic. Free repair?recall? It seems to happen with these car.

My Saturn Vue 2006 started smoking this morning when I used my blinker. I turned car off and it continued to billow and my high beam dash light flickered blue with key out ignition. Terrible I had my kid exit vehicle and popped hood. Tried to start after dash high beam light and smoke fizzled out but my battery was dead. Can't afford this bs NOT RIGHT NOW so I will go back pull fuses responsible for turn signal get a jump just to bring car home and park it. 🤦🏾‍♀️😩

My wifes car just did this today..... changing it in a couple days when my part comes in.

Perfect! Your video allowed me to save $200 as that is what an auto electric shop quoted me to make the repair using my aftermarket part. Great job!

thanks! top cover was easy to remove. just pry it apart at the seam using a flat head screw driver

My wife messaged me at work today to tell me this was happening in her L200; I was going to take it to a shop and spend way too much to have someone else fix it, but now I'll just tear the top cover off, diagnose which switch it is (turn signal, wiper, or both), and then order the parts and install myself! Can you tell me how tough it was to remove the top cover? Did you have any trouble getting it back on?
